Can Hubpages Drive Traffic to Site

Is hubpages a good way to drive traffic to a site. I have a very good method of picking keywords for my hubpages and ranking them in the search engines. Since I am good at that, is it worth linking back to my main site. Is ezinearticles a good traffic method to if you do the right keyword research.

If you take the time to create a great page then yes they will bring in traffic and you can also use the embed RSS feed to create constant new content that has to be indexed.

Hi, I am new here. I have never or almost very few links from hubpages in SERP. I cannot remember when I saw last time. Mostly in SERP are domains and some branding service providers (article dirs, clsaaifieds, etc).

  • Hubpages is an authority site. It has PR6 on its home page and offers one way do-follow links, thus it will help your site's page rank increase fast and get indexed by search engines, especially Google

If you're able to rank a page in search engine, why not to post an article in your own site, rank it and get traffic.

Ofcourse you can use hubpages to drive traffic to your site but they seem not to allow posting of URL in hub which is a big minus, the other option is using video thou that will not be direct traffic like having your link in the post.

It will then require you to have lots and lots of traffic for visitors to come from your hub to your video and to your site.

As long as you're using a "third-party" site to drive traffic (example squidoo, ezinearticles, blog posts etc) then I would have to say that it totally depend on the quality of your content.

Many people have backlinks from hubpages but only a few are able to drive good traffic to their external pages. Of course, i am not dictating the fact that SEO plays a part, but what's the use of being able to drive huge loads of traffic to "third-party" pages but have extremely low click-thru-rate?

The most obvious reason why someone will even click thru to your external link (assuming your content is extremely lousy) is usually because they want to see which son-of-a-pig will provide such low quality content.

I hope it make sense to you, no point having lots of traffic to "third-party" pages if your content sucks. Simple as that. And if that's the case you're only helping them gain more traffic and creditability.

pardon the dirty words, just wanna make sure i bring this point across.

    Hope this help,
    Jeremiah

No, it isn't at all, in my opinion.

The only traffic you can drive to your site from HubPages is traffic you drive to your HubPages page and then don't lose en route.

You don't own or control HubPages and would be better off using a page you do own and control as your traffic generator.

You're not "getting anything extra" because you're using HubPages.

Don't imagine that the high page rank of HubPages own home page is going to help you, because your material and links aren't on its own home page.

And don't imagine that you'll somehow, magically, become the recipient of any "internal traffic" at HubPages.

Why not do that for your own pages instead, then? You may find that it isn't any more difficult. Many of us who used to use HubPages but no longer do so have discovered exactly that, and that's why we're not using it any more.

No, not at all. Article directories are not a traffic source in their own right. That isn't why they exist, and it also isn't a purpose they can fulfil for you, without your unnecessarily losing most of the traffic generated. You can, instead, choose to have all that traffic going directly to your own site, if you know how.

For all the reasons explained in this post, no article marketer would want his potential customer traffic going to an article directory instead of to his own site. Potential customers are not the people for whom article directory articles are submitted.

Ezine Articles does have a potentially very valuable use in article marketing, but trying to use it for "its own traffic" certainly isn't it. This thread will help you: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ml#post5068872
