Should i go for arpreach ?

Hello,

Actually i use Aweber. I'm considering going for a server based script like arpreach. Then use a service provider like smtp.com to send the emails.

What do you think ? Is that a good idea ? Can for example this script tell me what is my spam rate after i send an email and unsubcribe people who hit the spam button ? Is the 0.1% limit as important as in Aweber or it doesn't matter ?

Thanks.

I've just started using arpReach for my new non-commercial project. It does provide the analytics features you've mentioned. If you're hosted on a VPS or dedicated server you don't need an external service like smtp.com - if you wanted to use smtp.com then you'd probably be better off sticking to Aweber, it would probably work out cheaper and the deliverability would be acceptable anyway.

You get lower deliverability sending from your own server with something like arpReach, for me it's ok because the project I'm using it for isn't commercial, I just ask people to whitelist my email address after they opt-in.

    Hope that helps

My emails are very valuable, the problem with Aweber, they send the broadcast at once and we get thousands of customers in a few hours, we can't reply to everyone at the same time. I would like to send the broadcast piece by piece for example. Every hour x emails.

I've used hosted services like aweber and getresponse, and also have used self-hosted services like arp3 (autresponse plus 3... is the predecessor of arpReach. For me, a self hosted solution is the only way to go.

Although I've installed arpReach, I haven't migrated my lists over from arp3 yet. Although it was released in March of 2012, I'm not convinced that it's totally bug free yet, so I'm still using arp3.

Is anyone using arpReach to send 250,000 or more emails per day?

support desk never answer how to install it correctly, u have to figure it out your self

The hard part for me is going to be changing all the opt in forms. I have hundreds of opt in forms spread around dozens of my sites. Because the basic opt in mechanism has changed for how to opt in from ARP3 to arpReach, I have to go back and change all the forms. It's a big job and of course that's not covered in the $97 migration fee.

What I'm worried about is that arpReach won't handle the scale of my subscribers. I have one friend who found a significant bug that arpReach folks have been unable to fix that would only affect customers with bigger lists.

So... I'd really like to hear from someone who is sending a lot of emails using arpReach successfully every day.

        Hi RevShareNow,

I've just started using arpReach for a smallish list, but I'm just wondering what the significant bug is before I jump in too deep?

Can you elaborate a little on what it is and how/when the bug starts causing issues?

        Thanks,

        Paul

          Hello,

I don't know what is this bug...
I just installed arpreach and I have a big problem:
When I import my contacts, I'm getting a message "import complete", but it's not the case.
          No contact is ever imported...

It's saturday and support won't answer.
Could somebody help me with that issue please ?
          I don't understand what I did wrong...

We're doing over 100,000 emails per day. So far so good.

Now what we'd really like is automated FBL (feedback loop processing). The arpReach folks say they are going to add that in... but I haven't seen it yet.

Yeah two things ArpReach really needs right now:

            1. Automated feedback loop for complaints.

            2. Link tracking automatically within emails. At the moment you have to manually set up the links you want tracked... which is rather cumbersome (and surprising given how long they've been in business.)

Otherwise it looks like a solid system with some powerful trigger action options.

Agreed. Setting up links manually is kind of a pain. The plus side is all the actions you can assign to it. I use the trackable links to move people to different lists based on their actions for better targeted emails throughout the funnel.

I JUST Installed it was FLOORED how easy it actually was to do.

I've used ARP3 from DAY 1 and it's a bit of a learning curve but...

...I STILL like the self hosted.

      Hope this helps.

Problem solved: it was just a browser issue.
Don't use ie or firefox, but only Chrome.
    With chrome everything worked fine.

From the view inside my inbox, there is something rotten about Arpreach. I find two or three of my (many) addresses bombarded by nameless users of Arpreach. Using the "unsubscribe" link appears only to falsely confirm my supposed subscription. The problem is that self-hosted things are open to abuse.

Every one of those spammers uses a variety of names, and my name as a supposed "subscriber" is never mentioned. I block them repeatedly as spam, and they deserve the lable. They must have got hold of these two or three addresses of mine via social media. My recommendation: Stay away from Arpreach! It will quite likely taint you as well.

My autoresponder? eBizAc. No spam reported ever. Been using it for nine years. Famous users include Ewen Chia, Doug Champigny, Brian Dew...

eBizAc includes shopping carts, safe download creation, an affiliate management system, tracking links, ebook creation, and much else besides the actual autoresponder. We can schedule messages, apply filters, and send broadcasts to all lists.

Hope this helps in your decision making!
