Has anyone used XsitePro 2? If so, do you think its worth the price? Are there any other website building software that you would suggest?

Thanks

  • I've been using XP for a few years now and really have no complaints about it. It's a great product, great support, easier to use then any of the major HTML editors/website builders out there, has some great extras. You really can put a site together and get it published quickly and easily.

Compared to a lot of software, I think the learning curve is pretty easy.

Honestly, I can completely recommend it.

  • XSitePro 2 is amazing, I have used it for a number of websites and it has done the job very well.

It is way better than the free options and the added bonuses are of real value.

    Hope that helps ...

  • Hey Spriyada,

  • It depends on what kind of sites You want to build with the software, and your site building, coding knowledge.

XSitepro is easy to use, however it simply cannot compete with dreamweaver which has far more functions. It is not that hard to use, plus you can further expand it it with plugins.

So for simple work I would suggest XSitero but in the long run Dreamweaver may be a better choice.

    Hope that helps!
  • If you haven't bought it yet, I strongly suggest you go out and get a book on Joomla, and join the joomla forums online.

Joomla is FREE, expandable, jam packed with extensions and relatively easy to catch on. Once you have one Joomla site, there will be no stopping you! I am an experienced Dreamweaver user and hardly use it anymore. I have also used XSite Pro and found it quirky and ugly. It is good for inexperienced web designers, but so is Joomla - with no tools, no software, and excellent coding for Google crawling.
  • I used xsite pro 1, but uninstalled it yesterday. I never used it. I use dreamweaver cs4 and cant knock it. I upgraded the other day as I was using Macromedia Dreamweaver 8. Then I thought just get the new one so I did. I have personally not used xsite pro 2 but I'm happy with what I have. Also I think it was cheaper if you had xsitepro 1 and then upgraded it.

  • I would reccomend Xsitepro for doing simple 1 minute sales or opt in pages. I got it the other day and it's fantastic.

I'll probrably use it until I master my Photoshop + Dreamweaver Combo.
  • I am using xsitepro2 on a vista machine with no problems.

I used it to create the following two sites and . With a little html knowledge you can make it do about anything.

I've created simple mini sites in less than two hours with 10-15 pages of content. That's counting the time to change the DNS of a parked domain name, creating the pages, and uploading the site.

I also use Dreamweaver but for many of my smaller sites I've changed over to xsitepro. I used Dreamweaver for for example.

For anyone new to website creation I suggest xsitepro because it allows a person with basic word processing skills to create a site easily.
If one want to become a website creating 'pro' I'd suggest Dreamweaver, but it does have a learning curve that scares most newbies.

    Hope this helps,
    PW
