What do you call those websites that require you to input your email or phone number to win something?

How is it that people make money doing these websites and collecting these types of information?

How do you get started doing them?

If I'm understanding your post correctly, they are CPA offers.

And its not to "win" something, most of them say *Participation Required.

CPA is cost per action. You get paid each time the user completes the required action & fires the tracking pixel.

In your example's case, that action is entering their info.

They are email / zip submit campaigns run through CPA networks. Do a search here on CPA networks and you'll get a ton of info. Good luck. There's lots of ways to make money on them, but the most profitable is to design your own and build a list off it and market your list with other offers.

What you're talking about is 'cost per action' advertising. The owner of the blog gets paid every time someone submits their contact information.
