First Coaching starts next week - Advices?

Hello Warriors,

Next week i will start my first Coaching course.

Its called "How to make money online in 30 days" and its a free coaching. Since my students are users with no knowledge at all about all this IM world, i will teach them simple and basic stuff:

- Whats Internet (how it works)
- The Search Engines (how they work, what are rankings)
- Internet Ads (the differences between contextual ads and affiliates)
- User Web presence (blogs/sites/etc)

Then i will focus on:

- Develop a blog
a) choose a niche market
b) contents
c) link building campaign

- work that blog
a) seo
b) rss feeds
c) building a network of blogs on same niche
d) youtube promotion
e) socialmedia promotion
etc etc

I repeat this is a coaching/course targeted to complete newbies, people just like my mom. Some of them use the web once per week.

Any advice from experienced warriors? Thanks for your feedback.

P.S. - This is going to be my first coaching in my hometown, so wish me luck!

Most people don't care about the technical details of this stuff and just want the benefits - what is the expectation you're giving them about why they should want to do this and what to expect from putting their valuable time and effort into it?

For example, if my youngest nephew was to want to make money using the Internet, I wouldn't start him learning about blogging - I'd probably ask him what he and all his friends liked and would want to buy and then teach him how to find it or get it made and up for sale (i.e get a flash game made that tapped into what he and his friends like).

Sometimes peoples existing interests are a valuable avenue into making good money quickly. Making blogs is not very profitable (more often than not - especially for beginners), so I'm wondering why you chose that model and what they think it will do for them.

    Hello Andy,

I really want to teach them the abc of web marketing, that is why i decide this approach. Also, this is a complete newbie coaching. Many of these users don't know how to spell google. And i want to show them quickly as it gets whats this "internet stuff" about.

Basicly, I want to show them how they can rank high and fast in non competitive niches (and luckily my country has some) using free blogs (blog networks).

After they realize what an Ad is, a affiliate product is, they can go on with their lives and decide if a blog network is enough for them. Some of them will get hands dirty on domain names and hosting, others will just drop it, while others will develog solid niche blogs.

    As for your first question:

Most people don't care about the technical details of this stuff and just want the benefits - what is the expectation you're giving them about why they should want to do this and what to expect from putting their valuable time and effort into it?
They can expect to be able to rank high enough in some weeks and start getting some $. I won't give them niche blogs on non-competitive niches but I WILL teach them how to do it.

And yes, they will work on subjects they love (if they have some), i will not teach them to go after forex keywords. lol

Guess i have to work harder on showing them the benefits they WILL GET as soon as they learn how things work, and how they can make some bucks with free tools.

Benefits. Thats the word i need to focus these days.

Thanks for you feedback and let me know your thoughts!

    Any advice from experienced warriors?
This sounds like a useful class, Fernando.

Yes, I have two suggestions. Make a handout series with screenshots and step by step instructions for people to take home. This should reduce the number of follow-up calls you get from people who didn't understand or take good notes. Second, videotape your presentation so you'll create an information product you can sell outside your local market.

    Regards,
    Allen

      Hello Allen,

This is going to be a daily Video coaching + PDF + Private Forum. Every single day they will have material to read/view/analyze available at my private forum - and i will be there every night (21-01) to assure they have answers to all their questions, guidance etc.

At the end of the coaching (plus 2 weeks) we will have a final meeting in a local theater to exchange information, eat some croissants and discuss personal developments - but this is a surprise for them.

This is a free coaching and i want to do 3 more till end of 2009, but next year i want to get together 20-50 of these students and deliver a semi-advanced coaching, a paid one.

Who knows? Maybe i can even start some Seminars in here in a couple of years!

      Who knows?

    Hi warriors.

    Need your help:

Have Camtasia ready to go, microphone, webcam etc BUT the sound of my voice is just awful. Lots of noises and i can't hear my voice, just noises.

I have some experience in audio and it seems to me its just a bad soundcard.

Maybe i need a new soundcard for my pc? Any advice from you guys that record video lessons?

Fernando, what is the complete audio signal chain?

    What type of microphone?
    Which model of Audigy?
What type of cables are you using?
What type of speakers or headphones are you using?
    What audio software?
    Is there a mixer?
Do you have an understanding of audio? If not, do you have an audio expert available to help you?

    Regards,
    Allen

Problem solved. While i was recording audio directly to camtasia it always present a sub "shhhhh" you know, but recording it to audigy its all right.

It has a little "sshhhh" too but nothing to bother me.

I am an ex radio man, so i know what i have to do to solve this one: i gottta get my mixer from the basement to my office and plug everything And yeah i have my ex radio mates a mile away...

    Cheers!
