If You're Not Using The Warrior Forum Blog...

You're making a big mistake.

Personally, I was skeptical as to the benefits, if any. Then I did some testing
and saw some interesting results.

1. The blog entries actually get read, and not necessarily by forum members,
though I can't prove this. My suspicions, however, come from some search
engine surfing. Which brings me to.

2. Using one blog entry as a test, I did a search on a specific keyword phrase
to see which site ranked the highest between this forum, Ezine Articles and
my own personal blog.

Here are the results.

1. Warrior Forum Blog
2. Ezine Articles
3. My Personal Blog

So if nothing else, if you write articles in the make money online/Internet
marketing niche (yes, that is the one restriction for the blogs here) you're
probably better off putting them on your blog than submitting to EZA as
they will probably rank higher here.

The Warrior Forum carries a lot of weight in the SERPs so there's no reason
not to take advantage of it. Allen Says allows you to post articles to your
blog. So why not? I'm certainly going to start to on a more regular basis.

Write about something WORTH writing about and choose your keywords
appropriately and you just may find that it was worth the effort.

At least I have.

I am probably missing it, but where is the WF blog? Is it the chat room? OK, thanks, Edd.

Nothing fancy. I first simply just looked at the views my blog entries get here.
Some of them are quite substantial. I have one blog entry that has over 1100
views. In the IM niche, I don't have any articles at EZA with that many views.
Maybe a few hundred at best.

I then looked to see where the article ranked, those that appear at more than
one place (most of the stuff I post here is unique in content) and the Warrior
Forum link appears first in Google.

And this makes perfect sense. After Google's algo change, article directories
like EZA took a hit. But the Warrior Forum isn't an article directory so it didn't
take a hit. So I expect IM articles to rank better here than at EZA.

I may very well just start submitting all my IM articles to the blog here and
      forget about EZA altogether.

And since I was told, a very long time ago, that article type posts belong
on the forum blog and NOT in Main Discussion, it works out just fine.

So I really don't understand why people don't use them unless they're not
      involved in the IM niche.

1100 views over 3 years. That's about 1 view a day. Not exactly server melting. Not saying don't do it, just putting things into perspective.

That's really interesting, I have clearly been missing a trick here. I saw the WF blog as a bit of a waste of time to be honest, but now I will try posting some content and see what happens. Thanks Steve.

This is deemed to be very true. When you properly do your keyword research you can rank very high for your targeted keywords. Particularly for the IM marketing niche via through the search engines. But its a lot harder than it seems. Without testing, tracking, and research you dont stand a chance. If done right you can get alot of traffic from your blog posts. This forum has a very very high page rank.

I'm sure this single thread will cost Allen thousands per month when everyone starts posting spun articles.

This is true, but the mods will definitely not be able to police half a million blogs.

First of all, this obscure thread has all of 240 views. In a day or two, it will
            drift into obscurity.

Know how many people who DIDN'T use the blog previously will even start?

            Maybe 20, if that.

Yes, it is. And that may be part of the reason why I started submitting content
again. I had posted a few articles about a year or so ago and then just forgot
      about it.

Then, about a couple of weeks ago, probably after reading his guide, I checked
my blog posts and saw over 1000 views.

      I was floored.

Paul Myers is one of the brightest cookies in this place and you should listen to
every word he says because he knows what he's talking about.

I posted my second blog before this thread was started. I was using it to play last night. I just notice it had 21 views so far and Randall Maywood was on the front page earlier in the day. Interesting information just hope the blogs don't get abused with crap.

I have also noticed some good results, though it would be nicer if there were a premium blog product, (where links were prioritized in such a way as to better appear in the search engines) That would be a product I would buy.

Currently there is not as much "power" behind the blog section as it might have were a few tweaks to be made.

      Still its worth doing...

I've actually been using it for a while now and I can vouch they actually generate there own traffic within the Warrior Forum at first.

I've had people leave comments etc so I know they're getting read by people here.

...That and you have a visitor counter on each post you make
