To the OP, there is no link in your sig, that might be a hint.

      Lol you don't say.

I honestly think that forum signatures are just for the link juice.

It's really depends on what you are promoting on your sig and what topics you are active on. For example if your signature is about PPC then be active on that category and establish your authority on that topic.

Say something worth reading and present an offer worth clicking and your signature will do just fine.

Talking of which Joe I just found myself clicking through your sig. I always know one thing for sure, that when I click through I will always have a good laugh at whatever greets me LOL.

Thanks for lightening up my Saturday night.

      yes I agree with that.

      2 things

      1) make it benefit driven.

      2) Test and measure results. All sorts of marketing that you do should be tested.

    Sure you can tell.

Make sure the link is being tracked with some form of tracking software like propser202 before redirecting the user to the final landing page.

Signature files work very well IF you know how to utilize
    forums effectively.

You need to make valuable posts on the forum and have
relevant offers in your signature file.

Your experience has been poor because a quick look at
your post history reveals that your posts are not very
valuable. Many are useless one or two liners.

You need to earn the click and you do that by providing
    value to forum members.

    Dedicated to mutual success,

I doubt that is true given the popularity of your service.

Sig files can work very well. At least they work for me

Of course, several things do affect their CTR...

    - the copywriting (the words you use are important)
    - your post count and quality of information you provide (your reputation does matter)
    - what you're linking to (product, service, squeeze page, etc)
    - where people are clicking thru from (you'll likely get more clicks and conversions if your sig file is related to the forum it's being read on)

It can. It just depends on what you offer. For example, I create flyers. I don't charge much, but it doesn't mean I will get thousands of customers. I do have a special tracker that lets me know how many people have been to my website.

I was just thinking about this and fixing my sig is on my to do list tonight.

Looking at the sigs in this forum there is a lot of room to be different and stand out.

But I'll customize this post for you specifically...

Of course, put the same bull shit everyone else does... if the reader is in your market a headline style ad may capture their attention.

    BUT...

Below that put an ABOUT ME in it that is USP heavy.

For you I would do something like this...

"I specialize in showing people how a great product and killer copy just ISN"T enough to cut it in todays market. Using only visual elements, I create an atmosphere that put visitors in the MOOD to buy"

That goes way, way beyond features, benefits, and emotions.

When you want pizza, are you concerned about the features or benefits or emotions? No. You're just in the mood for great tasting pizza. You specialize in setting that mood.

After that, the good product and great copy must do their job.

Just remember - your Unique Selling Position is setting the mood. You'll have no competition.

I haven't got much clicks but I still make money since my offer really works. It is also free to sign up so maybe that is why.

Signatures definitely work. When I focused my efforts for here I was getting 15-25 leads a day and sales as well. I use multiple forms of traffic generation. The key to a good signature is to make sure you target it to internet marketers because that is the majority of the warriors in here. Also make your signature jump off the page to where people just have to click it to satisfy the need to get the information. Bold, very catchy headlines with a clear call to action work very well.

Sigs work for me. It matters how you write it and what you are offering and who sees it. It's not a huge money earner, but over time it all adds up.

You might want to consider creating an attractive signature. You can bold your letters. Btw, WF is not the only forum for internet marketing niche to depend on people to click your signature. There are other famous forums like digitalpoint, V7N.

It depends. I've been learning a lot from WF.
I usually click on a sig link when:

    1. The poster's post is something useful and helpful.
    2. The poster tells me to look at their and tells me how it'll benefit me.

    or both.

I often get sales even though my WSO is somewhere on the 10th page in the WSO section, and I think that your signature will work if:
    1. It's catchy
    2. You are providing a top-notch product.

When it comes to sigs, the more you put in... The more you'll get out.

So say for example you post a really helpful guide, people will presume you're an authority and as a result, will read and/or click your sig.

You've also gotta hang out in the right parts of the forum to get best results. So if you've got a SEO based report, then you would do your "theng" and hang out and comment/post in the SEO part of the forum.

Images help a lot as well as it helps to grab attention.

    Hope this helps!

I don't work with sigs, but I can't imagine why it won't work if you do the following things:
    - Make an attractive title
    - Make the people wanting to click
    - Be active at the forum
    - Know what you talk about and make useful posts/topics

The main point is just to get the reputation. You'll get this if you know what you are talking about and don't make 10 character posts, explain your posts to the people and they will respect it and maybe look to your sig.

It doesn't really work, so don't not rely on it. Personally I use the signature mainly to identify myself and show the people here who I'm and what I do.

The conversion depends on lots of factors. See what Gama said. Be active on categories relevant to what your signature is saying and contribute to the community. Be an authority in your niche or market. In fact, even if you contribute on multiple niches or categories, some people may still click on your link because they see you as an active member and not just as a passive learner in the forum.

Best rule of thumb: be an authority in your niche.

yeah, I have got clients using warrior and other forums since last several years and few of them have spend thousands with me. It all depends upon how helpful you are in your posts and what kind of offer you are giving in your sig.

The best place to get consistent traffic is warrior article directory where I get hundreds of views for every article I post. I think it is worth spending $60 to get inside and post couple of articles there daily, you will see a consistent stream of traffic if you do this...
