Blackhat or Whitehat?

Hello people on the internet,

I was lurking around the WF for a while now, reading FREE WSOs, reading articles on how to make money online. A lot of people say that they would go with CPA because they don't have to sell products, don't have to write articles, etc. And all they have to do is get leads for the company. That amount will be there for a lifetime now, I want to make some quick cash in this case I would go with blackhat?

From what I heard, people say to stay away from it. Other people just go along with it and they still make money, as long as I put in the work then I will make money just like a 9 to 5. Or, should I go with websites? I don't really like making websites cause it's a waste of time, energy, and money. Even though, it may be long term. I did rank for a keyword and on number 1 but never made a sale... 5 posts. Not sure why, but I did made money with CPA using PPC but didn't made profit as I used Adcenter coupons, technically I did though wasn't that much.

Anyway, here's the thing. I want to create my own product just because I like ideas and turning it into money, it also make me look good
#blackhat #product #traffic #whitehat

That is from people who are rejected by CPA programs and not making money....

It looks like your a bit overwhelmed with everything. Just find something you think would work for you and apply it. If it works, keep doing it. Rinse and repeat. If it doesn't work. Scratch it off your list and move onto the next thing. Don't jump from one thing to another though, you won't see results that way.

I'm not clear if the second paragraph is referring to black hat or cpa from the way the first paragraph was constructed.

What exactly are you asking?

No such thing as whitehat SEO, SEO is only blackhat! If you put 1 link somewhere by yourself, it already isn't "natural", to google its blackhat.

I look at it as a term that has been twisted to mean something completely irrelevant, much like article directory marketing was made out to be "article marketing".

Very true! Its all unatural when your learning about SEO and IM.
The only people who do it whitehat style is when people have no idea about SEO or IM and just have a website and social networking pages and get on with what their doing and it just happens naturally.

Its unlikely that your going to get anyone to stand up and say 'Ye man blackhat is the way to go!' Suggesting unethical and short sighted practices are not going to get you a slap on the back and a chorus of applause.

If you're looking to build a reputable, long term business, whitehat is the way to go.

Also, what makes building websites a waste of time, energy, and money?

CPA and PPC campaigns are a little advanced (Expensive) and it doesn't seem that you have a business model locked down yet.

I'd figure out what you want to do first before you start a paid traffic campaign or you're just going to blow through a bunch of cash.

This is work, there is no way around it. Whether it's writing articles, making sites or placing ads it's all about the effort you put forth.

Start from scratch and build yourself up like the rest of us. Start reading posts, get into the War room and figure out something that you can stomach doing and focus on building a great reputation and a superior product, then the money will come.

Ahh man. This is too loaded a question and can be debated in a million different ways. I prefer the term "greyhat" more than blackhat or whitehat. Even most reputable businesses, I find are using some extent of blackhat marketing. I think whats more important, is WHAT the end goal is. If the end goal is ripping people off, and not providing a good service, then you're a POS no matter how you market yourself.

But if you have a great message you want to get out into the world, and use a bit of blackhat, I'll never frown upon something like that. The thing is, most blackhatters don't seem to be like that. They just take things way too far. Like one guy I saw on a BH forum that uploaded 60,000 youtube videos in 48 hours. Thats just ridiculous. Why not make a few quality videos instead? They'll be around longer, and you'll make more money imo. I like the concept of building a good, sustainable business model, and if you need a few BH strategies to make that happen a little faster, I'm ok with that. But if you're entire model is based on BH marketing, then you have a serious problem imo.

    Mr. Gunnz:

Most techniques are a bit grey. Google frowns on you buying back links, but people need to eat so they both buy and sell links to survive. This was always going on. Yeah, even in the 90's, I was there - oh, the memories. OK so getting back to your question. Here is an answer. Do not do anything that is illegal, but last time I did check, it is not illegal to get people to link to you. Perhaps you have to make them some supper. Cold cash can work wonders in this universe - yes sir.....

Since no one has touched on the last thing you said ... I would fist talk to someone more experienced than yourself about the ideas that you have for a business to see if there any good or if you don't want to share that with anyone (which I wouldn't blame you if you didn't) do some research on what your interested in. Do you have any hobbies? Say you like sports. You could pop up a simple website on a free service like Blogger and sell anything that has to do with sports on it. You can work with Amazon.com for books and Ebay and then there are loads of affiliate programs for stores you can be an affiliate for. But I don't know what your ideas are and what you are interested in but when you figure that out yourself, I think you'll realize that putting up a website isn't so bad and doesn't have to cost you any money.

Let me know if you have any specific questions.

Blackhat vs whitehat is simply risk vs reward.

No one else has mentioned this yet:
You DON'T jump into blackhat without understanding whitehat and the basic principles behind internet marketing. I guarantee you blackhats can make a whitehat site much better than someone who has only used whitehat techniques.

      Why?

Most blackhat techniques are simply whitehat techniques on a massive scale.

Take the example listed in this thread. Someone found a way to upload 60k videos to youtube. Overkill? Not to the pro blackhat. His mindset is different. If only 50% of the videos receive one view, he has generated 30k views in two days. I'm sure the numbers will be WAAAAY higher than that. If it takes X number of days before the videos are banned, then multiple the number of days by the average amount of views. If/when he gets banned, so what. He just creates another account and repeats the process. Churn and burn.

Also, a blackhat will know just how far he can take an approach before getting his site banned in Google. If you've never had a site banned in Google, you aren't trying hard enough. lol

So before you even think about blackhat, understand whitehat as much as possible.

In my opinion I find CPA marketing a spam...

Do you know someone who has been rewarded a $500 Walmart gift card via a CPA sign up form?

May be im wrong, but that's why i hate everything related to CPA... The techniques for marketing CPA ads are also "mostly" black hat technique

Tommy, When you're trying to figure out a way to make money online, it can get overwhelming to say the least.

I suggest finding ONE business idea that appeals to you and sticking with it 100% for at least 6 months. Even better if you can find a mentor with a proven track record for helping others get started. You can use their guidance to getting to making your first $100 then $1000 and then build things from there.

Making money online is not difficult. Focusing on one thing until it is profitable and not getting distracted by shiny things is.

As far as whitehat vs blackhat - what do you want your business to look like long-term? The challenge with blackhat tactics is that they are normally short-lived. So you get into this trap where every few months, you need to start over again. Personally, I build for the long-term. This allows me nice luxuries like being able to do the four hour work week half the year while traveling.

    Good luck!
