Lead generation from a free WSO

Hi guys and gals,

Just checking in to see if any of you guys have experience building leads by launching a free WSO.

I've got a cool report in the pipeline, and I'd rather give it away for zip than sell it (as I'm more interested in building up my list, rather than just making cash up front)

Any tips or pointers on how to get leads from this method would be appreciated!

    Well, Reno X built a list of more than 15,000 from a free WSO
    and a lot of other people built a sizable list in the hundreds doing
    a free WSO.

    The difference being the quality of the information, the need
    for it and the immediate benefit the WSO provides.

    Look at what people are searching for the most and asking the most
    questions about then deliver a solution.

    I personally think charging $1 is better than giving it away for free. Even if it is $1, now you are building a list of buyers which is far more valuable than a list of just freebie seekers.

    It depends on how much traffic you can get to it. I recently launched a free WSO and the majority of the traffic came from people browsing the WSO forum as opposed to them being sent through via a list. I still believe you can find buyers in a free list if you build up and give value to your list.

    You can also use your free wso as a lead generation tool afterwards if the content is relevant and not time sensitive.I'm still getting leads coming through via my signature and thats with posting and contributing at my usual rate. I think others have tried spamming their signature in the past.

    I have found it to be good, and I know others do it as well. You can build your list and make money if you do a proper " Free WSO". Make sure you ad it to a small sales funnel afterwords and you should be golden.
