  • are you sure that the $97 wasn't an upsell? I find it hard to believe he would tell you the product is one price and then charge you 10X that amount. It isn't worth it to a marketer to rip people off like that or they will get their merchant account banned- which is a huge hassle for them. I suspect you must of misunderstood something...

I think some marketers just forget about explaining everything regarding the price. I do think that it is normal for there to be an ordinary upsell added, but sometimes those upsells can get annoying since the marketers always say "that everything they need is included in the product". Anyways, Just be careful next time I guess.

Ryan should explain it more obviously about the $97!

      It wasn't a scam.

Since I didn't see the offer, I can only offer some educated guesses:

      1. The $7 purchase came with a new monthly $97 continuity automatically attached.

      2. The $7 purchase was a deeply discounted offer to get you in the door with the normal $97 price being charged thereafter.

These are common practices among smart direct marketers. Ryan is a well-known, successful, and VERY smart marketer. I have no affiliation with Ryan. I just know of him by reputation and have purchased from him previously.

It's possible Ryan didn't clearly explain the offer, or didn't place it in a place where you'd easily see it. I've bought from Ryan before and have never had a problem.

If you abandoned the cart before checkout, you haven't been charged unless there was a major technical glitch. If so, your claim of stolen money is an outright lie and can be construed as slander or libel (I forget which is which). And that is dangerous ground.

Read EVERYTHING in an offer, including the fine print.

Beware of plastering someone with the "scammer!" label. If you're wrong, it's not fair to honest marketers when YOU don't understand something.
