How do you identify your passion?

There are so many articles out there saying that you start creating your blog base on your passion.

But I keep asking my self, what is my passion? How can I identify my passion?

Is there something that you absolutely love to do and would do for the fun and pleasure it brings you whether you were making an income from it or not?

That's one way to identify a passion.

Passion in this context is what you'll do for free but
don't mind getting paid for it.

Try new things until you fine 'the one.'

Passion is a bit like marriage, except you don't trade your passion in for a younger model in 30 years.

When, eventually, one of the myriad of things you try in IM makes you a pot load of money, then you've found your passion.

And if you don't really like the work, then with the shit load of money you're making you can outsource the lot.

Just to chime in a word about passion and markets. The common advice is to go after your passion and the money will follow. That's half the equation. It's where your passion interjects with a profitable market that you should go after your passion. Passion isn't enough.

No one is going to pay me to watch me pursue my passion of relaxing in a hammock on a lush tropical island. There are certain immutable laws and principles in life, in business which you can't bend to your will.

So watch out when your ears receive the message "Follow your passion and the money will come"... not always true.

Passion is the driving force behind a dream life.
Is there something you really enjoy doing?
Is there something which gives sense to your life?
something which doesnt feel like a work but more like fun, some which you even enjoy doing if you are alone or if you dont want to share with others,....
something which comes naturally to you and you are not struggling for it...

think about any of the above and that is your passion....

Easy. Pick a niche and drink a strong alcoholic drink while you write an article about it.

I guarantee you...you will know within 30 minutes.

BTW...Fibonacci is/was way overrated on the "interesting" scale...there is better...

1-Write your own eulogy. What do you want said about you at your funeral? What contributions do you want to have made to others?

2-Make a list of what you would spend $100k on if $100k were to drop into your lap and you had to spend it all within a week. See which categories keep coming up.

Also remember, passion is well and good, but you don't succeed by spending all your time on a hobby (which is what "pursuing your passion" becomes for many), but on providing value to others. If you can find a way to do both at the same time, great, but remember providing value to others and exercising self-discipline in yourself are far more essential to your success.

Thank you for all the input, I don't if what I am doing right now is considered as passion.

I am enjoying working online, reading news about internet marketing, inter acting in IM forums, and social medias.

I spend most of my time online

Your passion is what you would do if you could do anything and what you would do if you could do nothing else. Maybe IM is your passion. But it might only be a vehicle to express your passion. For instance, one of the best marketers I know is a guy who markets guitar lessons, products, and information. He is great at it because he loves it. He knows what guitar players want and he gives it to them.
