Picking a Quality solo-ad?

I'm looking into getting my first solo ad, but considering the amount of scammers out there I assume they are selling these ads as well.

So my question is, where can I go to find quality solo ads, and what steps can I take to lessen my chance of getting scammed and getting legitimate clicks to my site?

Your in a great place to do your research to start. Search this forum and read the reviews. Start with a small buy and see how your offer converts. Then scale up from there.

You might want to look into Ad swaps, sell solo and buy solo mailings - Safe-Swaps. They have reviews on the seller.

There are plenty of good solo ads around pete, just have a good look around, there are a fair few on here to get you going

    I would look for solo ads around £35 - $50 for 100 - 150 unique clicks

Most of the great performing solo ads which i have used have been ones which i only pay between $35 - $50 for

If that solo ad then performs well i then buy another one and if that performs well i then go back and buy a much bigger package off of them

Safe Swaps is better than most options but be aware that there are still scammers operating there.

Some of them have even been there for over 2 years and have 100% positive feedback.

Make sure you check the traffic to your squeeze page in your analytics when doing a solo.

    Definitely don't get solo scammed!

Couple of questions that can deter these snakes:

1, Are the clicks guaranteed? If they say no run for your life

2, How did you build your list?

3, Do you use ad rotators?

4, Do you use exit pops? If yes how many?

5, Can I supply my own email swipe? If no stay away. Chances are they are sending generic messages to a bunch subs not interested and will give you an excuse when your conversions are low. You'll probably get told your offer wasn't targeted enough.

    6, What are your rates?

    PS: Hope this helps

Safe-swap is good. I am using it. There are rating and review system in place for the sellers. So choose the one that offering guarantee clicks for your niche and with good reviews.

Just something we've learned here at our home office....solo ads are not all created equal. A LOT of solo ad offerings are lists of people who want freebies and are NOT proven buyers. So if you get into those types of solos...just realize you'll be paying your autoresponder email service more money to keep them on your list in the long run than you would with a smaller list of proven buyers.

Just something to remember. Solos are good. But gotta be thought through first so you don't waste time or money on the wrong model.
