Most Effective Landing Page

INTERNET MARKETING

Hi,

Can you guys please suggest me what is most effective landing page style?

Options..

a. Very simple design with a video and brief info about results of product and about product with a tag line. in next segment, features, videos and screenshots (3 in tab).. very clean and exact feature of software.. and inn last segment, testimonials, latest news etc.. this is very simple, clean and professional sales page..

b. highly graphical + lots of tag lines + over exaggerating the stuffs + good design

3. classical page... lengthy one...

This is a software product and its one of its kind!

In your signature, I bet your product is about link building, I think option #2 will be the best choice.

  yes man its about link building.. before releasing our beast we want to release few of its part as standalone softwares.
  
  Yes i do like (2) option.. but over exaggerating will lead to create lots of hope in users mind and push him to buy... and if software doesnt meets it or if he has used better software then he will ask for refund or will never purchase again ever from same developer.. its what i think.. Please correct me if i am wrong..

The best landing page depends on who and what you are targeting. Usaully the plain and simple approach works best, ie grab attention, poke the pain and then tell them what to do to fix it. Set up a control page and then A/B test against it, there is no set formula as different things work at different times.

you are certainly not wrong. The trouble with exaggerating is that you will be found out and customers will not be pleased. It will ruin your reputation. and yes, you will get refund requests. Telling the truth is far better. You can still have option (b), but don't exaggerate!

Test all the options you've suggested; then come back and tell us what has worked for you.

IM is never fact; what works for me, might not work for you. You've got to test, test, test...

...then test some more.

The quicker you find the duds, the quicker you'll find a winner.

The squeeze pages which have worked well for me in the past are a short video with a few bullet points and a good headline using power words to grab peoples attention

I have always managed to get between 35% - 70% using these types of squeeze pages

You do get the odd ugly looking squeeze page which converts really well and that is fine, it happens now and again but you just have to split test with some of your pages and see which one performs the best

Sometimes you get surprised at which one ends up converting the best, it`s not always what you expect

  I think the OP's asking about sales pages, Paul, not squeeze pages? :confused:
  
  He didn't specify. It's difficult to be sure, when people say "landing page" in their question, isn't it?
  
  Obviously, a landing page can be a sales page, a squeeze page, or any one of various other kinds of pages. But people have a context-determined "fixed concept" of what they mean, in any individual instance, by the words "landing page" and expect everyone else somehow to understand it.
  
  The reason I think he means "sales page", rather than "squeeze page", in this case, is the inclusion of his third option ("classical page... lengthy one...") as one of the options.

You need to be test it out yourself...If there is a fix answer, you will be likely to see the same landing page all over this forum..
