What do you think of my idea ?

Alright,

I decided to take action, step by step...
But I want serious marketers, experienced people to tell me what they think about it, and to talk about it obviously, so thanks a lot for your help.

Basically, my dream isn't to be a guru, but being somebody who has the financial freedom to spend a lot of time testing methods in Internet Marketing to help a "community" I created be even more successful, and share my knowledge about the way things are in this business.

So I decided to start a blog about beginning in the Internet Marketing, using Empower Network (but actually, I'm unsure if I want to be linked to Empower Network... I just don't know what to sell if it's not Empower Network).
Making articles about the mindset needed to succeed, and the community I want to create.
Eventually, asking people to enter into my list, by giving them a free product I've done or a PLR product I believe in.

But, I have no idea if it is a good idea...

Are there any confirmed IM I can talk to before going "all-in" into that idea ?

Thanks a lot.

Basically you want to document your journey as an IM? Then share your wisdom with others?

That really isn't anything new. Unless I misinterpreted your post.
    Whatever you're doing, good luck

Honestly, I don't think there are many people who want to follow a blog of someone's journey through the ups and downs of internet marketing. The people interested in this niche seem to want to follow blueprints on how you were successful, and model that.

I think you'd target a larger niche by documenting your success and selling it as a book/eBook. Also, document exactly how you were successful and sell that as well.

This is what you should be starting with right now. Forget Empower Network, create a product or promote affiliate offers.

Build a list and you can offer them different products over time. Plus your list is something you'll always have.

"Programs" like EN come and go and I've seen many of them go. You want to invest in something you own, that you control and that you can profit from for years to come.

Why do you need to have a "perfect" plan or a successful marketer's approval before going in?

I'm pretty sure the great Ad man David Oglivy said: "Everything is a test." Test small.

Try it out and see if you start getting positive feedback.

    Hope that helps!

hey, you can PM me if you wish to talk or take my ideas, I am doing the same thing you are getting into right now. Here's the process I use... I first build a list of subscribers and then build a relationship with them. I ask them on regular basis what problems they are facing.

From time to time I get people communicating with me with their needs and challenges.

I quickly create a video or an audio product to solve the set of problems I come accross. I am good at doing that and it takes me just 3 days to put up a 5 to 10 hour product.

I then drive traffic mainly using blogging, article marketing, have started with video marketing recently, forum posting and few other link building stuff.

The process is simple. What you are planning to do is perfect, just you have to make sure that all the components I have mentioned must work together for you to be profitable, if you miss one you will fail because I believe everything must work together to taste success... It all boils down to 3 steps...

    1. Traffic
    2. Relationship.
    3. Products...

    Hope this helps...

      Thanks everybody for the advice.

Another question though, many of you told me that people are interested in a method, or a blueprint to be successful online.

But it is paradoxical, because for me to have this method, it requires that I make sales and have an income, and for that to happen, I need people already buying the stuff I promote.

This is what bugs me in IM, it seems that you can never "begin" the journey.

You can begin but you are asking beginners to trust a beginner which is pretty difficult. You might get some people interested in the blog and subscribers interested in your success but unless you can prove success it will be difficult to sell (and rightfully so!)

It might work, we can only speculate really. I say give it a shot but be willing to cut your loses if it doesn't go well.

I would recommend finding some success first, get some authority and then start a blog about going to the next level, about trying to become a 'guru' or a millionaire.

Again same problem, it seems that in this niche, you need authority to make sales, but authority is only made by making sales and finding success...
Don't you see a broken pattern here ?

You can make sales in this niche without much experience. What "authority" do you need to put up a squeeze page offering a free report that promotes an affiliate product? Not only will you make sales, you will also build a list and start earning the experience you need to take your business to the next level.

IM is not just about coaching or mentoring. There are tons of products and services you can market to the IM niche.

Don't you see a broken pattern here ?
Yes. You wanting someone to hand you the "secret." It's an earn as you learn kind of business. No one goes straight to the top (contrary to IM urban myth).

I had my first real success online with MMORPG games. When I first started I barely knew what an MMORPG was. But there was money in the niche so I figured it out as I went. I have never played an online game but I could still tell a Newb a bunch of good tricks and probably sell them a guide or membership.

Everything you need to know is published somewhere, much of it on this forum.

Take control of your own destiny or you will be just another "I spent $5,000 on coaching and I'm still not making any money" story that are becoming so frequent.

there so many ways to make money from the internet.. Do not restrict yourself. Instead, get a mentor and follow through. The truth is that not everyone will succeed in the end but I believe at least take the step out to do it.. If you don't, you never know~

    my 2 cents~

I udnerstand that, but finding a good mentor is a hard task to do.
I'd really like to find someone, a big earner, who would be willing to listen to what I'm saying and advise me on the way to go...

But only luck can bring me someone like that.

    Manoko,

I like your idea. I also like concentrating on niches within a niche.

So, how about you put yourself in a newbie's shoes?
Every day, there's 1000's of people who get on the internet to search for a way to get their business online, especially in the chaotic economic woes we live in. People are looking for work-from-home options, they want to expand their business from a local shop to an online service provider...there's tons of searchers.

So put yourself in their position.
Use your blog to direct the right way - from zero.
Instead of looking for a guru (who will charge you with no guarantees), you be the guru of the new internet marketers.

That's the beauty of the internet - every day there's a new internet entrepreneur or someone looking to become one.

    Go get them!
    Hope I helped.
