You Won't Make (Much) Money Until You Understand This...
Hey Guys,
I am always intrigued by the amount of people that come and go in the world of IM.
You get a lot of people that come online searching for that "pot of gold" or "chasing the rainbow" and they never get anywhere.
Most give up and come back again at a later date - some keep on going and reach a point where they know it works because they have a few sales but can't seem to get further than that.
So...
I was thinking about one key thing that will help your online business.
Actually it's two - only because I thought of a second which is paramount while I am writing this.
Here is the key that will help you:
1. CONTENT IS KING : I don't care how Google changes it's algorithms or which site is ranking #1 on Google, or even if video marketing takes off one thing is for sure:
Content is paramount to your success online.
The problem is that a lot of people write FOR the search engines!
As in if I wanted to be ranked for the phrase "Follow the white rabbit!" I could write an article that started like this:
"This article will tell you all about the phrase: Follow The White Rabbit and where it came from. There are links to Follow The White Rabbit in Alice in Wonderland and it was also used as a phrase in the film The Matrix."
Now although that is a pretty bizzare example and you MAY get ranked you would be far off writing for the readers and then getting your content in front of people that want to read your article.
You can do this by remembering number 2:
2. Every piece of content you write on the Internet is Copywriting!
You need to be able to sell in order to make sales!
Pretty simple huh?
How do you sell?
By finding out WHAT people WANT and GIVING it to them!
Now the statement above actually came to my inbox from Willie Crawford, it was not a personal email just an email talking about how to use Google Adwords and how simple it could be.
Find out what people want and give it to them!

Anyway, back to my point:
I have studied quite a few copywriting courses and have no problems building a site and a sales letter that makes sales.
The main thing to start off with is every sentence should get a visitor to read the next.

Nothing I just wanted you to keep on reading!
My point is next time you write some content, write it FOR the reader and try and make it the best piece of content you have written on the topic and then get the info in front of people that are looking for it. Forums, Discussions, Answer Sites etc... and see what happens...
