Need some help with ebook!

Hello, I'm trying to get my eBook out, I've gotten the content, but I don't know what to do from here. Is there anyone out there experienced and kind enough to lend me some advice, on how to improve? The content is probably there, but I still need someone to edit it to suit a target audience. Does anyone know where to hire someone good at this??

Both. Add it to Kindle while you're there. I put an ad in the back of my ebook re affiliate sales so even if you did buy it from Smashwords or Amazon you can still forward it your list and get some $

What is it you're looking for exactly? A proof reader is one thing, but finding someone to do market research for you and edit a book to match an audience is quite another.

It's not really a proofreader I'm looking for, but somewhat the latter? I'm not sure exactly too, I'm a novice at this, that's why I'm hoping to get as much help as I can!

Perhaps you could try the 'Warriors for Hire' section here at the WF.

The first thing you need to do is to layout a product plan. Think about your targeted market and the message you want to bring across. It´s best to create a product around your strengths, not your weaknesses.

Your strengths are developed by market research, skill development and product creation. Since this is your first product, you might be best up by reading several eBooks on the same subject to get more insights on current methods.

Once you are done with the research, you simple start creating the product, bit by bit. Take your time. To score in the marketplace you have to have a great product, trash won´t cut it.

Then send your product to a professional content editor - proof reader. You can hire some really good people for this here at WF. Proof reading can be expensive, especially if you want your products to be proof read by a professional editor.

The next step would be to set up your market funnel and start driving traffic to your offers. Watch the sales coming in.

    hi Tiny1

There is an ebook template on

A cheap & simple membership site for Internet Marketing. http://www.nolistnoidea.com,

which I used to great effect. It is a membership site, but I had loads of training for 3 months for little money.

Check it out to see if it suits?

    Good luck...

    Follow this:

    1) Contact all the forums and blog owners in your niche about your ebook. Hook them up with a free copy and negotiate with them about putting a promotional post on their blog/forum. Make sure their good people though. Some webmasters grab your free offerings and try to turn it into their own ebook. Use your brain here.

    2) Setup an affiliate program, ejunkie etc. Get those blog owners and forum owners to participate.

    3) Buy ad space on related blog/forums.

    4) If your trying to find more content for your ebook. Get together an opt-in page and make a list. Ask your list what extra bonuses they would like to see in your product that is already done. Once you get their feedback, sprinkle it throughout your ebook.

    5) Go in forums related to your book, and just ask the questions... This works sometimes. Forum Post: What is something you would like to know about ??? that you don't now?

Most of my draft copy got some errors. I found some proofreaders over on fiverr and submitted some gigs. Then I added some images. Like infographics are great for an e-book, but make sure they look good in mono. Old kindles are in black and white, so there you go. Then upload your e-book to amazon. KDP is free, well so far, and we should create an area in warrior forum for people to give reviews. That would help all of us.

    Hi fellow sg,

I wrote 2 ebooks in the past (1 MMO niche and the other self-help niche) and experience tells me that it's always good to spend time writing a good quality ebook yourself (Don't outsource ebook writing), express yourself through your writing, gives some real life examples, add a little "juice" in it.

Your readers can tell if your content is being outsourced or "genuinely" written by you. NO one likes reading content that's being outsourced.

Also, don't ever publish an ebook without double checking. Usually, there will be more mistakes than you think. I used to hire a Filipino English teacher in elance to go through and edit my horrible english.

Recently, I chanced upon several websites on how to be a better writer and thought that they might be beneficial to you:

    1) 33 Unusual Tips to Being a Better Writer Altucher Confidential

    2) McSweeney’s Internet Tendency: The Ultimate Guide to Writing Better Than You Normally Do.

    3) How to Write Better: 7 Instant Fixes

Hope this helps, good luck with the publishing of your ebook .
