Have you ever made money off of trends?

I was wondering if you have ever made money targeting hot trends in Google at the moment?

If so how much?

Thanks!

Certainly in fact, if your prepared with the right kind of content you can really maximize it in a massive way, but you can also miss the boat be just an inch or two.

Its really all about timing, being in the right place at the right time, if you have a well developed website and you keep your content up to the minute, you can really hit a trend the right way.

You have to be "on top" of the trends. At least half your day will be taken up keeping up with what's happening and what's old news.

Ideally, it would be a 2-man gig so you can be on top of things when they are news.
Trends are tough but can definitely be profitable.

Trends work pretty well with cpa offers and polls. They fizzle out after a short while; but depending on the cpa offer and payout you can some quick "hit and run" income

I actually cover this as one of my fast money making methods

I used to use this method a couple of years back and it works really well

    All i did was

    1. create a wordpress site
    2. create a new article every day using a good topic from one of the hottest trends of the day (include the same keyword as the trending keyword)
    3. socially share the content
    4. build your social following as you go
    5. continue to add content on a daily basis if you can
    6. monetize the traffic with adsense, cpa offers or what ever else you want

there is no shortage of traffic using this method

    it`s simple but certainly works

I've made about $50 off of a trend recently, it was a tv show. It didn't last long, and I believe if my page actually had something on it I would have had better conversions. I litteraly content locked a blank page.

Good way to make fast money. Problem I have with building your income around trends is that it never lasts long. Sure its fast money, but I'd rather build something that's going to last awhile.

Agreed. There are ways to monetize from the latest trends, but you do have to keep in mind that it is short-term income. Don't expect it to last long.

You surely can make money with hot trends, even with auto blog sites. It is one of great ways to make passive income with that.

Hey I have a few questions on this:

*I am thinking about monetizing this with CPA offers as that probably will convert better than a Clickbank product. How would I present the CPA offer to them? Through a content locker or hyperlinked inside the post?

*How do you pick your trends? Do you just go to Google Trends, choose one of the 'hot keywords' and run with it?

*What do you put in your content? Just general information about the trend?

I am trying to make an automated solution to everything so I'm trying to get enough information on this method as possible.

I have one news blog that I love to piggy back off the trends and news.

The best thing is most people still do not know how to SEO their posts properly. So I love to take advantage of that as well.

      Can you elaborate?

Where do you find your trends?

Do you just make a simple article talking about the content?

Do you use adsense or a content locker?
