Affiliate Marketing / CPA with an OFFLINE Twist

I am sure you have heard this before and when implemented right this is
strategy that can be integrated with your other online marketing efforts.

This is simple and very straight forward. I have used this technique for years and there are many different niche's you can incorporate. It is Rediculously profitable and easy

The Method- Tiny Classified Ads in your Local Newspaper.

There are many offline publications in addition to the Newspaper that are free and allow free advertising...such as the 'Penny Saver" you will need to look in your local market but virtually all area's have them.

Then of course is the newspaper. Depending on where you live the price of the ad can be fairly reasonable and for others mainly in the large cities they can get a bit more pricey.

But if you take some time, check your local book
stands and local stores you will more than likely find alternative sources.


Now the method is simple and you really only need 3 lines of text. If you are promoting an affiliate program....come up with a short / memorable url. Then use a simple php redirect to the affiliate landing page.


The same principles that are used online with regards to developing a Good Headline and and 'Call to Action" hold true here as well. The same as PPC but with an offline newspaper.

Some great affiliate programs to promote would be

Weight Loss,
Golfing,
Remodeling (This Is Big)----There are some Great CPA Programs,
Debt Consolidation
Credit Repair,

The newspapers have their own TOS and some programs or websites may not be able to be used if they feel it would be in competition with their classified section.

For instance, most papers would not allow you to insert links for "Jobs" because this is direct competition with their employment section. The best thing to do is give them a call.

When you call them...to inquire don't let the cat out of the bag and tell them your life story. Simply let them know that you have a business that is offering a 'Special Offer" or....that you simply have a business and would like to advertise your services.

Let them know that you have a golf training course, a debt relief program etc. That's it.

The best places to advertise would be in the "Announcement" section or the "Service Section"- if you are promoting something like Remodeling. There are various sections and some sections cost less than others. So take some time and get familiar.

There are other sections as well such as 'Business Opportunities" use these wisely.

Next develop a simple 3 line ad. You head line, Call to Action and Your Website URL.

---Now I just came up with that and you need to put some more thought into it....but you get my drift.

Most of these papers also publish their classifieds online which will now serve as a backlink and more exposure for you.

This is a powerful method. It does require some investment with the ad placemeent so you want to make sure that you test and don't go hog wild placing advertisements in the tri-state area just yet.
