Both are good and based on the kind of product you are promoting, it all depends on the quality of your video and how you intend pre-selling.

If it's an amazon product i prefer a voice over but MMO a cool brilliant arrangement of text works more for me..

      Totally agree.
what you want to sell really matter.

Ehh I disagree. Are you reviewing the products, or just the sales pages? An in depth review of the product using demonstration and voice over is the most effective.

If you're just gonna make a "review" of the sales page, or one of those "sizzle" videos that have some corny music with some flashy text then I'd say forget it...there's enough of that nonsense going on already and all that does is fill YT up with junk.

Personally.. I don't mind watching a 20 minutes video with voice-over (assuming it's a good quality one) but I can't stand watching 5 minutes music song with mere text.

I believe all of us can watch 1hour - 2hours video with voice-over, don't tell me no. I'll kick your ass.. You can kick mine if you have NEVER been to cinemas.

I agree, I can't stand the videos that are only music and text.

    personally I prefer voice over.
I think I know more about the product this way.

may be you can split test it , and see which one converts more .

Voice is generally better. Although 'best' is voiceover with music. One of the issues with voiceovers is naturally how the voice sounds - male / female / accent etc. An easy approach is to match the voice of your ideal customer - i.e. if your target audience is a 22yr old American - then that's the type of voice you need to use. If you don't know your audience - test, test, test! (Fiverr is a good starting point for voices)

Most of the time, without knowing details, I agree with lots of guys above about voice-over. I believe videos hold the viewers attention much better if there is a voice going thru the details of whatever the video is about.

If you are doing a voice over, then make sure the mic and sound is of good quality. Don't make it sound like you need to blow your nose!

I guess both type of video presentations are good but it will depend on the affiliate reviewing video you want to create. If you to present it graphically with words and all, a music video will be more suitable.

Use both. It works a treat.

A good free mixing software that will produce great results is Audacity. I use it

I would prefer watching a video with a voice over, as hearing the person's voice along with the text gives me a sense of trust and it allows a more "personal" relationship, I guess.

Honestly, watching a longer video with just music and text would bore me very quickly.
