Is any one earning from yahoo answers?

If yes, what is the best strategy for posting yahoo answers?

Which is the best software for posting answers?
Previously I bought a software for posting the answer to yahoo answer. But It was keep crashing so I returned it. After that I tried it manually posting the answers but at that time it allows to answer few questions at a time.

      1. People are using Yahoo answers to find leads, so you could say that they are indirectly earning from the site.
      -Thanks for answer.
      2. Post good answers and don't spam. It's pretty simple; but it takes work. People don't tend to like that too much.
      - I dont like to spam. Though i was using the software, I was answering them manually. Software was helping me to find all open questions in one place so that reviewing and answering becomes easy. I need not have to open every question and wait to page load and then answer. But it has some technical issue and developer not able to resolve.

      3. Don't waste your time on software, unless you enjoy wasting your time and money.
      - I dont think all softwares are bad. In IM field if you are doing all things manually then probably you die on chair of computer table.

Yes you can definitely still make money from Yahoo Answers, especially if you can get your answer ranked.

You will targeted leads for a long time.

This isn't something you should automate. If you manage to get anything back from it at all (and that's certainly possible), it's in proportion to how much quality and relevance your posts offer.

This is so true! You cannot automate Yahoo Answers or it won't work for you. Just go and answer some questions! Don't spam, but give honest, helpful answers using your site as a relevant source.

I have a level 6 account and answer about 3-5 questions per week linking back to my site, and about 10 questions per week on different topics just so my account isn't spammy. It's worked very well for me.

Yes, It work very very well for me.

    My approach towards Yahoo Answer

I answer 4 general questions [brief and easy one] i dont place any link there,
Then find 5th question related to my niche... provide detailed answer with my site link in source box.. then when the question is open for voting, I vote for my answer as the best one and usually it is chosen is the best one.

I am on Level 7 in Yahoo Answers;; I use it 3-5 times a week,,, and whenever I use it, more than 10 of my answers are chosen as the best one for that day.

By the way, I have written a detailed EBook on Yahoo Answer, I will be offering it to warriors for free in WSO section, Please watch WSO section sometime next week for it. I have explained everything in it with the help of screenshots.... the book is how to generate to dating sites traffic from yahoo answers but it can be used for any niche...

It's nearly impossible to trick Yahoo Answers like that. Just find legitimate questions you can answer while promoting your offer. Don't do ANYTHING shady.

You also need to answer questions unrelated to what you're selling. For every question I answer with a link to my site I answer around 3 unrelated questions.

Answer the questions well and you don't have to worry about votes. I have a 46% "Best Answer" rating without doing any of those tricks. Just provide quality answers and it all falls together.

Appreciate the tips, Phil, I consider looking at it again as a way to drive traffic. So when they visit your link, I assume you don't send them straight to a longform salesletter? I doubt YA is going to like that, nor their users. Some rich-content blog with an opt-in form which then sells the $75 product? I hope I'm not grilling you too much on this.

Right, if you link to a salesletter you'll get thrown out for sure.

I link to a content-rich page on my site that answers the question they have asked (I researched what people were asking in my niche and then made the pages around those questions). I give an overview of the info in my answer, then put the link to my page as the source where they can read the details.

The product is mentioned in the content on that page, with a link to the sales page.

Just keep it low key! You already know the people reading your webpage are looking for the EXACT info you're providing, so you don't have to do any hard selling or gimmicks to keep them on your site. This keeps Yahoo happy so they don't ban you.

Last month I got 990 unique visitors to my site from Yahoo Answers, with 8 of those leads buying my $75 product.

I spend anywhere from 30 seconds to 10 minutes per day on there answering questions, which isn't bad for $600 in sales!

Phil, that's actually nice. I always thought in order to get top votes on there you'd have to write long-winded posts with at least a good 15 minutes researching the topic. 30 seconds to 10 mins per day for multiple questions? Sounds worth the effort, congrats

Of course it still works.. Why wouldn't it??

BUT, you can't just post answers with your link - you should also have some "normal answers" as I like to call them.

Meaning non-promotional answers, that are still helpful to the person asking the question.

And a lot of people dont realize this, but once a question goes into voting you can go back & vote for your own answer as the best.

Because THAT is where the major traffic comes from - BEST ANSWERS!!

Having a ton of answers with your link is NOTHING compared to what you can get from having those links included with best answers.

Just make sure you aren't over-promoting on there, or they will wipe out your account history and leave you back at Level 1. Trust me.. lol

It is definitely work. It generates great amount of traffic and at the end of the day that would give you a sale. But don't even try to copy and paste. If it is found then your ID would be banned. Keep focus on manual posting. I never rely on software.

Yahoo Answers still works but you have to answer questions sensibly which you can only do manually. If you want to use automated software, then it is a sure way of wasting your money. A lot of people still rely on Yahoo Answers so it is still a pretty good way of getting quality traffic.

K Mac, I've been a Help Desk Associate of Content Writing 360° and I've been manning our WF account for a long time now. I've been also using Yahoo!Answers and answering some posts there for my personal business. There's one thing that won't work: using a software to automate posting.

Using a software to automate posting is like using a quick text template to answer a customer's email. In most cases, that template contains pieces of information that I am not even asking - a canned response.

To answer your question, Yahoo!Answers posting works for me. I am posting not just for the sake of posting but really to be an authority in my chosen niche. Once you have built your reputation as an authority in one niche, people will believe what you're saying. Take a look at Alexa Smith as an example.

I guess it depends on what niche you are in and what questions you are answering? If it is an answer to a question someone needs a quick solution too then it works fine. If it is general questions like how big is the average foot, it might not get many visitors. Most people are looking for answers because they have no one else to ask at the time. So give them a good solution at the right time and bingo ;-)

I used Yahoo Answers software and my account was closed. BUT, I am sure it was because I did not use the software correctly.

I believe my posts were geared too much to selling my product, i.e., "..... I recommend this products because it is the best there is....."

Anyway, I am going to give it another try as after reading the posts on this forum, I am sure I will get some benefits from Yahoo Answers by posting 3 or 4 posts without links and 1 with my link, but NOT trying a sales pitch.

BTW, previous to losing my account, I had quite a few Best Answers, but that made no difference.

Good luck Warriors, you make this forum awesome!

Yes, Yahoo answers still is a viable source for marketing. I used to gain thousands of unique and targeted traffic through it. The trick is to stay on topic when leaving a link. Make sure you are posting answers that are relevant to the question along with a relevant or similar niche link. You will need a level two before considering to leave links. Why? 1. Your link will be clickable, and 2. You won't get flagged as often by other members or yahoo answers.

I use it maybe twice a week answering around 2 questions with a link and 3 or 4 without a link. I try to be very detailed. When I checked my logs I had 302 clicks from there and around 509 from ezinearticles so these can be very useful sources of target. I send people to a blog and not to a product. Just like on the warriorforum though you don't want to say things such as check below or see source or anything like that. Just answer their question the best that you can.

I recently went back to Yahoo Answers (last week), and was about to reach Level 3 (probably by tomorrow).
Last night I noticed my points dwindling, and that's when I noticed that someone was reporting almost all my answers within one niche (I am answering in 5 different ones). I probably had about 9 questions reported.
This morning I wake up, log into YA, and discover that my account has been suspended.
There truly are some unscrupulous people out there. They realise they have fierce competition, and start trying to remove (their competition). I think I know who it might be too, because they are promoting the same product as I am.
Now I have to start all over again. I had racked up over 700 points in less than a week.

You should be able to get your reported answers repealed if they are truly legitimate. Doesn't always work unfortunately though.
