Clickbank Direct Linking Test

Hello everyone I have three questions.

1) I have made 36 campaigns with 36 clickbank products on different markets, and I am using pay per click. So my question is do you think that is a good way to test out if a product converts or not? Did you tried this method before?

2) How many hops average does it take to make a sale in clickbank?

3) I would like to ask also if you have tried miva.com and if you do. Do they accept direct linking?

No; I think it's a terrible way. The few that will convert at all, that way, may well not convert any better with a niche site and listbuilding and the normal ways of selling ClickBank products, while some of the ones that don't convert at all by direct linking (and that's most of them) can convert very well in normal ways. So you can't even learn what you need to know, by "testing" in that way. In other words, you're "testing" something that's fundamentally different from what you need to do, to make profits.

Unless you imagine that doing just this is going to make profits? But you don't think that, I hope?!

It depends, clearly, on the extent to which your traffic's targeted and pre-sold. An "overall average", even if such a figure were available anywhere (which it isn't) wouldn't mean or signify much.

I made a lot of money direct linking back around 1999-2003 using adwords, it worked great then. But it doesn't work with adwords anymore, google stopped direct linking a few years ago promoting affiliate products. Never found another ppc network that worked as well as google. Back when Miva used to be Findwhat, I got good conversions with them but when they changed to Miva they pretty much became useless. If you can find a way to get good targetted traffic with this method (which isn't easy anymore) it would work. Anyone that says you can't get conversions with text ads is wrong, but the traffic has to be targetted. Definitely not as easy to do as it used to be years ago.

In my opinion you have to build a good funnel, build a list, give your subscribers as much value as you can, (ebooks, mini-guides, How-to's,heads up on breaking news) it can be anything really, you need tham to trust you in order for them to pull out their cc and buy a $37 product from you

There are a ton of variables here really.

You can kill it with PPC and affiliate offers.

I won't give you any campaigns, but I can tell you that there are a million variables.

So, test small and split test big.

And big as in, "try (and test) everything".

Get your own site and lead traffic to a squeeze page or pre-sell page. You will need your own site to mask that ugly affiliate link.

Some people still do direct linking... and they make alot of money with it.

    ABOVE!!!

This is eactly what I would do...send the traffic to a page you control. That way if the product is converting really well you can swap in your own product and have a proven business ready to go.

I always create my own sales page then move traffic directly to the CB checkout page. Never use the default vendor squeeze page, most are designed to steal traffic (external links, optin forms, etc...).
