Question About Article Marketing

I have been using article marketing to drive traffic to my own web sites and landing pages now for a year or so. I'm now wondering if I am losing sales by not just redirecting the customer to the merchants sales page?

I see some articles on EZine do a redirect from their domain to the merchant page, which is in compliance with their TOC.

I was thinking about doing this same thing with some CPA offers. What do you think?

Thanks.

I have been contemplating the same thing. The downside is you obviously don't get to build your own list, and therefore it may be more short term.

I guess I'll just have to give it a test to find out...

If you do so, let us know your results...

I've done redirecting and masking with CPA offers from articles that I've submitted to EzineArticles.com. They have converted pretty decent, but of course by not linking to your site directly you lose backlinks and the ability to build a list like Awaxler has stated.

I have experimented with both and I make way more upfront money with redirects to CPA.

Plus with list you have to spend time on developing content for newsletters for the list, and maintaining it too.

I am going to start back up with the list, but only when I can pay someone to write the newsletter articles. I am spent on writing content.

List building IS a long term strategy IF you have the time and resources to handle it. If you don't feel up for a list, there is nothing wrong with just making some quick $ with CPAs.
