What Do You Want to See Change in the MMO/IM Niche?

The internet marketing/Make Money Online Niche is growing faster than ever, yet becoming increasingly saturated.

I am curious what other people want to see change or made available in this market?

Here some ideas I would like to see happen to get the ball rolling, perhaps they would make for good JVs down the road?

1. A review company similar to the BBB for MMO products. Too many products these days that claim to help users make money online do false advertising. It would be nice if there was an internet review authority that helped regulate the claims and post honest reviews that specialized in the MMO/IM niche. Too many individual reviewers either lie about he product to establish relationships with the creator or are simply fake.

2. A place similar to the warrior special offers where more free products could be advertised

if you have any ideas feel free to add them below..

    One big thing ...

I'd like to see the realization and recognition by marketers that pushing at the edges of what's allowed by the laws and regulations and relying on their perceptions of the likelihood of their "getting away with it" are the cause of increased regulation and regulatory processes and their enforcement, an increase in both the numbers of regulators, and their legal powers as well as their willingness to enforce them.

It seems to me that many people's concepts of "causation" are pretty distorted: they often imagine that "trying to get away with deceptive marketing tactics" is a justified response to excessively interventionistic regulation, apparently little realising that the causation is actually the other way round. Industries that show a lamentable, collective lack of self-regulation are the ones that inexorably, inevitably become increasingly subject to inflexible external regulation. This has been so, nationally and internationally, for many decades, and it isn't going to be changing any time soon.

Those who are not part of the solution are part of the problem - and it's a really big and rapidly growing problem, as can be seen here every day, e.g. in all the threads posted by Warriors complaining that "PayPal, Plimus, 2Checkout and ClickBank won't accept their new products/sales pages".

To add to this, I'd like to see it become more like a standard business on every level. I coach, and people often ask me about 'systems' and what program to try to become rich in IM, and I tell them I have no answer to that. Ticks off many people, but that is the 'image' out there. The industry is awesome (I don't consider myself an IM person, but I think I understand the industry) and provides great opportunities for so many, I would just like to see that image of 'magic system' go away....

      My two pennies.

I'd like to see more products with creativity and innovation. Products that people spend more effort on the quality of what they are selling instead of putting all their effort on their sales pages. Too much junk out there right now that shouldn't be even available.

The value of the better products are selling at lower prices because of how many low balled crap is out there, which really decreases the price value in the industry.

There's too many low quality products that sound flashy and magical on their sales pages but provide minimal to zero results.

Most of the time it's rehashed information that you can find for free if you used the search button.

I want to see Google get tough with people who try to game the system with crappy content, spammed backlinks and other cheesy tactics.

This is exactly what we should be aiming to see. When people stop looking for fast wins then the standard of internet marketing will rise massively.

I would change the misconceptions perpetuated by our fellow marketers. Stuff like "99% of all ____ fail" and "internet marketing is saturated" only lead to self-fulfilling prophecies.

    All the best,

The hype is the most worrisome thing.
Instead of feeding people with the truth they prefer to tell lies, misconception and
give unrealistic claims thereby wasting valuable time of newbies that they could have used to
make a better thing from their life probably outside the web.

I would like to see more marketers taking responsibility for their own actions and businesses, instead of constantly blaming gurus, crappy products, facebook, youtube, google, paypal, etc for why things aren't working out for them and their businesses

I'd like to see products with "behind the scenes" access of everything that a product owner does to make money online.

    wow
i'm working on a few sites like the ones you mentioned, but I will not be reviewing all products with the review sites.

working on a forum as well, but it will have a flat monthly fee and some other goodies.

as far as IM and AM. I believe there needs to be some type of regulation or quality control. I've seen to many one sided review sites to get folks to purchase products. To many pages ranking that obviously have spinned content. It makes us all look bad as marketers.

unlike google I don't care if someone provides the same information or posts the same article as long as they also provide their own content and have a goal in mind as far as educating or catering to the users.

anyway I think all of this will take time. the most we can do now is continue to put our quality products and websites and become more of an authority.

one thing I think that will help is if Real Warriors started charging for their reviews, services, site access etc. I learned this early on when I used to DJ if there's higher price to enter the club you get a better quality crowd and rarely run into problems.
