Ya, when I first started I used smartdots cos I didn't want to spend my own hard-earned money on a paid domain. It worked great, got paid, didn't buy a domain cos I was enjoying the savings (ya, i know its not much savings but I'm cheap f*ck), now it's been offline for almost a week, and I'm regretting not investing in a $3 .com/.net/.org now

Sent 2-3 emails to smartdots, googled various keywords hoping to find an answer, but only thing I know is from what I am told when I try to login to smartdots

    Maintenance!

    smartdots.com™ just makes maintenance work.

They claim it is scheduled maintenance, but I don't think any of their domain owners was informed of the maintenance until after their domain(s) stopped working =/

alpennic.com looks like smartdots, except instead of .tc its .tf. Aplennic is NOT down either. Did a whois on it, owned by the same guy who owns smartdots..
