Ok Warriors, I hear much about getting traffic from ebay and classified ads to be worth wild. However I do have a few questions

1. How do I add a classified ad on ebay?

2. What should be added into my classified ad what grabs attention?

3. What are you opinions?

Thanks!

i agree with traffic bug... using craigs, usfreeads are much better....

for classified ads, you will need to goto the advanced search option... look for the services category, find a classifieds ad there , open it and then click on " post a similar ad"... thts how i did it

pulse.ebay.com is what will tell you what people are searching for...

i used free ipod cpa offers ebay classified ads and made $200 in a month.... which is not bad for a $10 investment....

    Hi Sean,

    1. You can add it just like a regular auction and if you choose a category that supports classified ads it will have that option available.

    2. Title's are your most important asset - use them wisely - using words that people search for instead of just the product name. Video's inside the ad and opt-ins for a free report are the best method for making sales.

    3. Only certain categories work well as classified ads. I've always found that weight loss products, make money on ebay products, and general 'get rich quick' schemes work best.

    Hope that helps

For the money eBay classified ads are great. Where else can you potentially reach millions of potential customers? An ad costs $10 for 30 days with an almost unlimited number of words, HTML, pictures, the works.

As traceye has already mentioned, you need to have an account with eBay. Log in and click "Sell." One of the first prompts will be something like, auction, buy it now, or classified ad. Select classified ad.

The trick with classified ads, as well as anything else on eBay, is writing a great headline and of course, having a great offer. You can also include a link or links to your Website in a classified ad. Good Luck!

Traceye mentioned something about what people are searching for. Is there a keyword tool that works for eBay or a process? I'm pretty sure she was talking about using words that potential buyers use while searching, kinda like google adwords.

But I got to thinking how a tool could tell you exactly what they are looking for. I would guess eBay keeps the info to themselves and lets it surface as eBay pulse. Would be interesting to know search phrases on eBay though.

      Cheers!

You can do just about anything in an Ebay Classified ad. They are great for traffic building, but I haven't done much in sales off of them.

Go through the ads and see what everyone else is doing and that will give you some ideas on what works. Most of them are in the Everything Else >Information Products> area. You can tell if it is a classified ad by the words classified ad where the bids are listed.

Ebay and craiglist are the most known sites for advertising and i heard great feedbacks about them especially in getting traffics. These two sites are tested in promoting your products and possibly give you sales.

    One more thing to consider-
what about registering a short url, then advertising in newspapers? Many run a $150 to be in XX number of papers at once deal.
Anyone tried this? If so, why not, aside from the small cost.

ebay classified are (were) primarily for digital goods. the came a day when ebay pulled the plug on selling digital goods. too many penny auctions made the place look like a digital flea market.

So if I try the 'quick rich scheme' with Ebay classified, it may do well? is this correct? What about I try to offer some video series offers on Ebay classified? Would the performance be as good?
    Thanks

I actually did this a few years ago and my account was frozen for a little while. I think that you are not allowed to post links.

There are so many other places that you can use to market your business.
