Which is the secret for failure?

Dear Warriors,

Could you tell me the reason that leads so many people to failure online even if they have watched and read many coaching programs ?

Is it procrastination or boredom?

Thank you,
Zouras

Procrastination and boredom are certainly ways that will assist you in failing. But I definitely believe that having no passion, drive or direction may lead to your failure as well. People get too overwhelmed sometimes and miss the important idea of coming up with something of value.

As a regular reviewer of software, plugins and courses (two of which I evaluated and panned today), I think some people put too much hope in the latest and greatest 'toy'.

Knowledge, much of it can be gleaned from WF, and a lot of tenacity (aka trial and error) will take you far.

Which guru's to listen to, which toys and trinkets to experiment with; and which guru's, toys and trinkets to avoid? Just ask around here on WF.

I think the problem is being on the so called perceived gurus mailing list! When I was a newbie Internet Marketer would wake up in the morning turn my computer on and go right to reading emails.

In the past, that would distract me because I was being marketed to. The trick is to be a marketer and not a prospect. I was going around in circles like a Ferris Wheel.

I have read many books and watched many things about losing weight, but I haven't lost any.

It's not a lack of knowledge, it's a lack of acting on that knowledge.

It's not procrastination or boredom, it's a lack of desire.

Am I saying it's their fault for failing? Yep. Just as it's my fault for not losing weight.

    All the best,

A lack of faith as well. If you don't truly believe in what you're doing everything kinda goes by the wayside.

Like Kevin, I also think the lack of not taking action and also moving from system to system without giving one a chance to work.

I may also add that if no goals are set, then you have no direction to go in.

    Focus on failure.

If a person focuses on not crashing into a tree. They crash into the tree.

Talk of "refunds" and "guarantees" before talk of potential success or any positive point are typical indicators of a people who are failure focused.

Doubt is instinctive but it has no place whatsoever in motivation, so to minimise it i.e not voicing / materialising it is the best way forwards to make something that can work, work by means of a positive mindset.

Procrastination and boredom can be the case. Another reason is that they might have given up way too early. If they see a decline in leads or sales, they stop pursuing their goals.

You can read all the information you want but unless you take action it will not do you any good at all. Another thing is jumping around from one thing to the next. Stay focused!

    I would say:

    1. Failure consciousness / Lack of faith
    2. Lack of persistence
    3. Procrastination (which for me is linked to number 1)

Not writing about what they love. It seems so many people start out with the make money online niche when they've never actually made money online themselves. In my opinion your first niches should be about what you love and what you feel you can write about.

Many things such as procrastination are the result of other things going on the mind. Fears of either/both success and failure result in procrastination.

It's not the higher conscious mind that's really in control but the unconscious or even what some call the lower brain or reptilian brain. This one controls many things because it's where the fight or flee response comes from.

Anything that is perceived as a threat to security, even psychological security, will be dealt with accordingly and it's often in the form of avoidance - procrastination.

But there are other manifestations such as self-sabotage, and you could even say that procrastination is a form of self-sabotage.

And that's just one thing that causes people to not perform well in IM or anything else.

Habitual negative mindset is another and a very general sort of root cause. So many people are conditioned in a way that keeps them in those societal roles that are needed. Things like having a regular job whatever it is because society needs people to do them.

So all the traits that being an entrepreneur requires are not developed well if at all. When someone decides they want to "try" IM or give it a shot, they're really going up against a lot more than learning how to write copy or whatever is needed.

And then the media certainly does very little to nothing to encourage a positive outlook or mindset. Not to blame the media, they're simply giving people what they want to see.

Once you really bust out of the negative mindset, it's a bit startling to see the opposite in so many people.

    • It is most certainly not a lack of desire or passion, because that is exactly what drives people to buy so many WSO's and IM next best things - desire and passion. And of course there are other drivers. But those two are big.

No, it's not a lack of those. It's a lack of focus, perseverance, and patience, without question. People buy way too many products and methods, and try a bunch of things at once, but half-assed. And when they hit the first headache moment, they move on to the next, and so on and so on. They get a quick high off getting the WSO, and dreaming for a minute about the possibilities, then they start, highly motivated. Then they hit a problem or difficulty or two, the high wears off, and then they put that WSO aside and try the next for a high.

If you can't already tell, early on I did exactly this. Until I really examined this process, I was in this rut too. But once I did, and I realized I had to focus, be patient, and persevere no matter what with each thing I tried, until I really saw it through, then, the game changed. I still failed many o' time, believe that, but eventually, I found success with one thing, and then another and another in IM.

So, in short, of course it's not a lack of desire or passion that is behind the failure of the majority - its the old FPP - focus, patience, and perseverance, or a lack thereof. Hope that helps!

They are just god Damn lazy and think internet marketing is an shortcut to be rich. They should be passionate in what they are doing instead of going for money and should have a burning desire to accomplish their goal. Another reason might be because of the influence of their friends and family telling them it's impossible to make it in online. They should take an effort to find like minded people around their inner circle.

Lack of motivation cause of fail to get the result time you want time to time.
Never look something too easy because earning money online is not like everyone said .
You need to go learn and interprate yourself which is the ways effective to you rather than only trust it cause it said will earn fast money in short time.

If all of the statistics I've seen quoted lately stating that 90 something percent of all IMers fail is true, I don't think it's a secret at all.

I think its because people lack focus. I used to spend so much time buying WSO's that I would be on to the next one before I ever got through the last one I bought. I started focusing on the things that work and things are going in the right direction. My secret to success "focus on one thing till you are making money at it"

I think the secrets to failure are: not taking action, fear of something (competition, saturation, failure, etc.) and of course procrastination plays a big role. A lot of people suffer from analysis paralysis too...

I believe that the ‘secret’ for failure is based on lack of knowledge and laziness.

You have to know what you are doing, and you have to work a lot. An online business is as complicated as an offline business. Only because you can work faster online, this doesn’t mean that working online is something simple.

Reading way to much marketing BS.

No - for real most of the so-called Gurus don't know why the have success. They think they know it, but if this would be the truth, many more of their followers would be able to duplicate their success.

Don't deny one factor: Often it's only pure dumb luck.

And once you are on the Top, everything gets easy, because anyone wants to work with/for you.

Look: I have the insight on many websites who are doing similar things and almost all of them are doing well. Most of them receive between 300 and 2000 visitors a day depending on the market and making a decent profit. But there are websites where everything runs wild and they receive 50k+ visitors a day and making a killing and I couldn't tell you before, which will be these websites.

    Best regards,
    Mike

procrastinaton/boredom are symptoms of a bigger underlying problem, more or less lack of passion. it's too easy to fail if you have to force yourself to tough it out
