Clickbank rejected my product :-(

Is there a similar product to yours already selling through Clickbank?

If so, ask why that product is approved and yours is not.

Assuming you are within the TOS of youtube, I would point out to whomever turned you down that they need to educate themselves on CB's newly updated rules.

If I remember correctly, CB will now allow these sorts of products as long as they don't promote any methods that violate the sights TOS.

but youtube videos are allowed to be used wherever you want - they provide embed code just for this.

that being said, their response was that they don't allow ANY youtube products - which I don't think is true as of last week.

I think this is just a matter of educating the person who turned you down. Plus, the 'scraper' thing probably threw them off a bit as well..

You can embed them, but you can't take copyrighted video content and use it however you like, which is what scraping implies. And, from the WSO of the product: "If you're trying to gather video content to use in your own videos, nothing sucks worse than having to sift through each video one by one in order to download them."

Disclaimers against downloading copyrighted content may not be sufficient either, as whether a product encourages unlawful transfer of copyrighted content is "in ClickBank's sole judgment."

But if it's on youtube, then youtube allows and encourages you to use it.

I believe the copyright issues are something else entirely: they are with others who post copyrighted material there in the first place. This should be well outside the scope of CB.

There simply is nothing shady with using youtube videos on your own site.

I'm assuming again that this product was in compliance with youtubes TOS. In reality, all we are talking about here is a small bot/spider.

Re:scraping. This simply means pulling some sort of data from a UI via a program. Way before blackhats were 'scraping' html, programmers were doing screen scrapes, etc. for totaly legit purposes (and we still do). If I were in a design meeting with clients and other programmers, and I were to suggest scraping something, nobody would raise an eyebrow.

For embedding purposes. By my reading of their TOS, it doesn't appear to me as they encourage you to use it in any way you like. For personal use, maybe. But, for commercial use, which would include use by marketers, no. Not by my reading of it, anyway.

I would bet that the ClickBank reviewer is more familiar with the blackhat meaning than the programming meaning.

Yes am within the TOS of youtube.One thing i don't understand is recently i saw the similar kind of product which are approved by clicbank..don't know what made them to reject my product..

Remove all mention of YouTube from the sales letter and ask them to re-evaluate it. For example:

Video Scraper Plus Module #4 - Youtube Bulk Upload - The Video Marketer's Dream...and change it to: Video Scraper Plus Module #4 - Video Bulk Upload - The Video Marketer's Dream (works with the #1 video sharing site online).

Stuff like that. In the copy add an FAQ section with this question:

Q: Will Video Scraper Plus work with YouTube?
A: Yes!

Don't give up. Ask ClickBank to work with you to get approved. You'll be surprised.

They do seem to have got very picky lately! They rejected one of mine for that reason too; and I also had one rejected because my email addie was not on the sales page - and that was never a requirement in the past!

I'm sorry, but no it does not imply this. Just like c programming does not imply creating virus's or malware.

'Scraping' is a long established technical term, not a blackhat term.

Ask any computer science professor what scraping is - you won't get anything back talking about stealing copyrighted material.

I don't think I have ever taken issue with anything you've said in the past (just the opposite probably), but I really have to do so here.

I would approach someone else in ClickBank. Maybe the person that you talked to is a MAD person or something like that.

Try to talk to someone else. They MAY approve you.
