I'm sure a thousand people are going to say the same thing, but you are on one of the best internet marketing websites out there. There is literally gold nuggets all over the place, and I have no doubt, someone has already asked this question, word for word. I'd encourage you to use the search button!

In my opinion, if you use the word "quickly" then your not focused. Making a "respectable amount" comes from setting up an online business model allowing you to replicate your system over and over, and not relying on a "get rich quick scheme".

That being said, being new, don't go in too fast. Set up a blog, post original content (about your life, what have you), learn ways to build up traffic, work on SEO, build a list, then monetize. As a start, I'd recommend Adsense. Then maybe branch out to CPA. And maybe some affiliate marketing with other products that may be of use to your visitors.

    Good luck!

Agreed, I'm a noobie also, but I was prepared to fail ALOT! I think that's what made all the difference. If you're up for it I would say try a little bit of everything so you can learn, then focus on the thing you liked the most or failed at the least lol. It seems like IM is all about dissecting patterns and finding critical vulnerabilities in search infrastructure!

Is there any particular reason that you want to earn respectable amounts quickly? I would say, don't go into that right from the start...

    01. What are you most passionate about? Specific hobbies or interests? Aside from making money...

    02. What are your long term goals or aspirations?

If you can answer that, then perhaps it'll be a lot easier to help determine your ideal business model...

Yeah, I agree. Nothing happens quickly online. Internet marketing has been good to me and I would suggest it, but you've got to learn how to do it correctly. It takes time to establish site integrity, contacts and relationships, build a social media following, etc.

All in all, pick something you love and just start blogging about it. That's the best route, and you can learn as you go.

There are arround here a ton of methods. My advice is that you buy any get rich quick guide and read about ways to make money and most important, TAKE ACTION! I have tried a lot off different ways to make money, maybe more than 10 and most don´t work for me. Find what works for you but for that you really have to TAKE ACTION!

      Wrong

      . . . and the reason why it's wrong!

If you go into something blind then you can only feel your way through, which will end in disaster. If you go into something with your eyes open then you at least have a small chance of seeing your way to success.

It's not a matter of due diligence as some people say. And it's not a matter of taking action as others say. It's all about knowing what you're doing.

Read, study, research, then do that again for however long it takes to become entirely knowledgeable on what you are entering into, and what you need to make it successful. If you happen to have an interest in the niche then that's all very well, but unlike what many IM's will tell you, it's NOT essential. Also, others may say you learn by your mistakes. The sad reality is that some never learn and spend a large chunk of their life chasing the end of the rainbow.

What is essential is to not rush things. Like any other business - online or offline - it takes time. If you come into IM looking to make some fast money to solve all your problems then you are heading for a mighty fall, like so many before you. And it's not just the fall you suffer but also the disappointment, frustrations, and doubt that accompanies it.

I would recommend that anyone with little or no IM knowledge either maintains their employed position, or keeps claiming benefits if unemployed, until such a time when you feel 100% comfortable that you have become fully knowledgeable on both the subject matter and niche you intend to pursue. And a good way to know when that time is right is when you can visit WF and answer all of the questions that you are now asking.

Firstly, forget about making "respectable amounts quickly" and focus on how you can provide a solution or value to people that are interested in your product or service.

Deciding on your business model and optimizing it daily is paramount.

    What are you good at?

What business model can you envision yourself spending 12-18 hours on a daily basis?

You can make almost anything work, if you put the blood, sweat and tears into it.

This question really has only one answer: it depends on your own skill-set.

If you're currently without IM skills (as so many of us were, when we wanted to start), then it depends on what kind of skill-set you want and are well-placed to acquire. The important thing is to identify and acquire one, though, and not to try to start making money without one!

I went for affiliate marketing, myself, but that was because I had writing skills and learned quickly that successful affiliates seemed to be among those whose business models often depend on that.

Whatever business model you decide to go for, good luck with it, and here are three tips which apply to all beginners, I think ...

    (i) Stay well away from "Make Money Online" niches, and "Internet Marketing Products/Services" niches (not doing so is probably the single commonest mistake and the single commonest overall reason for failure, too);

    (ii) Stay away, also, from anything with the words "fast", "quick", "wealth", "cash" or "money" in a product-title or in the url (shouldn't need saying, really, but it's an excellent little rule of thumb, when you're new - those are often the things that typically won't still be around a year or two later, and there are reasons for that): for reasons not always easy to appreciate when you're just starting out, it's really, really worthwhile avoiding "hype" at all cost;

(iii) Don't be in a hurry to "take action" without a clear understanding of exactly what you want to do and how to do it. When I started off, I almost completely wasted my first 3-4 months online, earning almost nothing, because I wanted to "take action" before I really understand what action to take and why. Largely wasted effort. It's true, as many people like to point out on such occasions, that a journey of 1,000 miles starts with a single step, but what matters is to set off in the right direction, not to set off quickly.

Just bear in mind that the overall success-rate of people "starting off in IM" isn't all that high. The three principles explained above, if all acted on, can stack the deck in your favor instead of firmly against you.

Affiliate marketing is the best because all you have to do is promote. you dont need a website, a list although it is advisable to have a list but most definetely affiliate marketing. When you are starting out the best thing for one to do is to have the right tools handy. Its like a plumber with the best toolkit against one with old rusted tools. Who will do the job better?

I have a guide that has 300 free tools from social, article, video marketing, website tools and a lot more. If you interested just PM me and ill send it your way

As I've already said, if you read, study, and research PROPERLY, then there's no need to fail. You're obviously in the majority that takes a subconscious decision to skim over beneficial advice, and subsequently will continue to fail. In the meantime I'll just continue to talk to the brick wall opposite.

No doubt well intended but if you're all newbies how can you help each other?

Only time and and a whole lot of effort is going to help you. By reading, studying, and researching remorselessly until you have acquired the knowledge and skills that make YOU know precisely what YOU are talking about and doing.

You are right, but since we newbies are all looking for the same thing (free knowledge), maybe we should share this knowledge when we found it (ebooks etc.)

You're looking at "knowledge", in this context, as if it's something objective, reliable and realistic, that we can all recognize equally well. This simply isn't so. And that's the point, here.

What you don't seem to appreciate is that "who becomes successful" isn't dependent on "who gets knowledge": it's dependent on who acquires the judgment and experience to distinguish between information and misinformation, and is able to identify "knowledge" successfully.

If you have a talent for writing you could outsource this skill on freelance sites, build niche blogs and monetize them with affiliate products, get paid to write content for other people's blogs, create and ebook and publish it....

Whatever you decide, I would learn everything you can about it and then put forth the time and energy needed to make it successful. Many people give up too quickly...it takes time to build a profitable online business.
