Hi,
What I'm wondering is how you build you list?
What's your favorite way?
What's the quickest way?
What get's you the best subscribers?

Thanks

    Zach,

I build my list using forum traffic and article marketing. I find that it provides steady traffic and I have had really good results. Big surges of traffic can be good but I find sustainability is better than surges and sputtering off at times. This happens from time to time.

I have a feeling you're relatively new and maybe you're wondering if IM really works. I apologize if I'm wrong but yes it does! A list is the way to go.

I don't want to be too self-promoting but I highly recommend the system that is in my signature box. I will coach you if you need a friend online. I'd be happy to help. I provide my personal email to those on my list. Plus I give away a lot of tools.

If you're unsure...which is fine...PM me and we can talk further!

    Cheers,

    Brad Spencer

      Hey!

I offer subscribers a free email course to Affiliate marketer.

Most of my traffic comes from IM related forums and 1 squidoo page I have...

      Almost 2000 double Opt-ins within 6 months... I know it's not much, but I didn't push it either...so I'm a happy camper.

Freebie + Squeeze Page + Traffic = List

Money is not in the list... Money is in what you do with your list.

lakshaybehl is correctamundo. The money may come from the list members, but you have to earn their trust first and never ruin it later. You will ruin it if you push a lot of crap just to make some fast money. Care for your list members as if they were family, because when you do they'll take care of you and your actual family for years to come.

I use article marketing primarily, but I also will send out some emails to co-reg leads. But you have to be careful doing that. Only use leads from a source you can trust, and only send emails that are closely related to what the people signed up to receive info about. Otherwise, you're sure to get spam complaints. It's a risk either way, honestly. I don't recommend it unless you have a host who is on board and will tolerate an occasional spam complaint. The payoff can be enormous, though, so I've found the risk worth it. You can grow your list really really fast. However, I find that the leads I get from articles I've submitted to directories like EzineArticles are of a higher quality overall. If I had the time and could write faster, I'd probably spend almost all of my time with that activity.

Direct people, regardless of your traffic sources, to a squeeze page that is short and sweet. I've tested long ones and they convert at a lower percentage every single time. Could just be me not being very good at longer squeeze pages, though.

Once you get someone on your list, the absolute key (again, from my experience) is to offer them something of genuine value without asking them to pay. Resist the temptation to monetize your new list members. Gain their trust first. I promise you that the payoff over the long haul will be much higher.

If you're money goal-oriented, shoot for at least $1 per subscriber per month. It's doable. I have a friend who has been building lists since 1997 and he's getting a jaw-dropping $4 per month per subscriber! Serious buckage.

Giveaway events are a great way to build your list. The quality may not be that good as a list you build with articles, however its a great way to start and build your list fast. Eventually the money you make is in your follow up.

              Hi Sharavnan, you are right.

The big money is always made at the backend.

That is why some people are willing to offer Freebies, 100% commission at the front end just to get that email or optin.

It is not easy to have this marketing mindset.

Again, there are other Marketers who profit from the frontend as well, without an immediate backend such as OTO.

And I agree with you = Quality!

To build a brand, quality must be there. Words get around. So maintain high quality! =)

              Cheers,
              John

The "fastest" method for me has been joining JV giveaways. They add on the average of 50 to 70 subscribers the first day. But the list can get tricky since people subscribe to multitudes of lists in order to get the free gift and you have to do a good job keeping them responsive.

The most "responsive" type of list (for me) has been ones acquired from Warrior Forum. And if a list also caters primarily to that group, it even gets more responsive while creating a "community like" feel with subscribers -- they know you, you know them, subscribe to each others lists as long as both feel like etc.

I build my list from JV and ad swaps and in my opinion, it is the fastest and most targeted.

I will send them to a squeeze page to download a freebie.
