Total noob asking for advice as always. I went withe the fitness nieche for my first as it's also one of the things that i like doing. I'm now concentrating on content and i have a few articles available which i myslef wrote. It's time consuming though, add the fact that english is not even my first language and you get a bad blog/article.

Where should i get content?
How many articles/blogs should i have?
how often do i need to write a blog or article for my site.

One of things that i plan on doing is asking writers on a certain fitness site if i could use their articles, but i don't think that's even enough to populate my site.

Thanks

If you're looking for free content you can get it from article directories such as Ezinearticles.com. There are also hundreds (if not thousands) of other article directories. The only downside is that you not only have to give the writers credit, but also include their resource box and links to their sites. But it's the fastest and cheapest way to get content.

There are many excellent writers here at the Warrior Classifieds that you can outsource your writing to. And you can get very good rates. Check out the WSO section too, sometimes there are great deals.

I do not plan on paying for articles for more than 50 dollars. I've heard about ezine articles, and i do plan on using a few here and there but i dont want o populate my site with ezine articles.

You can find competent writers here on the WSOs and Warrior for hire area, and I found great people on Fiverr too, just check on Fiverr if they have experience on the niche.

In order to create a good ROI for every article they write, repurpose every article: make a video about it an use it on YouTube, create a pdf and upload it to pdf sharing services as Scribd, create a powerpoint and upload it to slideshare.

You will create momentum with the same article.

No stupid at all, start with 10 of them and do what I just tell you, publish first on your site, then the other services and create links to the original source.

If you publish twice a week you get content for 5 weeks, then repeat the process.

There are good writers here and at iWriter.com and at Odesk.com. You just have to get a few articles to see which writer suits your needs best.

As you know, PLR (Private Label Rights) is also a good way to go. I haven’t used it because it's not good for posting around on other sites and linking back to you because of the fact others will also be posting more or less the same thing and google will penalize first ask questions never. But it’s good for your own site as long as there are no links in it. No google will not penilize you for "duplicate content". That is something else. That is when you duplicate websites for different local niches. ie using the same content for the sites LasVegasHouses .com and NewYorkhouses . com
