Affiliate commission not being paid: what can I do about it?

Hi everyone,

I have been promoting quite a few products online, and never had any problem with anyone, but there is one company which has always played games and wicked tricks with me while paying the commissions I earned from time to time. I had to shoot 1001 e-mails to them before I got an apologetic reply. But this time I have earned a commission of $122.91 so far but I have received no reply from them when I demanded my commission. Now what can I do about it? It is a mole removal cream I am promoting and of late I am really annoyed to see all the videos and sites around are splashed with google ads of the above product--obviously our hardearned money is being put to good use!

Please advise how to recover my money before I quit promoting their product for good.Obviously, it is no use promoting a scam company!

Have they paid you on time before? Some companies would send payment after going through some formalities. This is due to some credit card frauds that can happen in a few cases of purchase.

Personally I would look for a replacement product to promote until they get their act together (if ever). You could always do some kind of negative comparison promotion X vs. Z and give the other replacement product some traction that way.

      That's excellent advice!

I've been burned once by someone I used to promote (a few years ago). I make sure never to promote that person again, ever.

        Hi Prasanth5,

They used to pay in time a couple of years ago, but not recently. But during the last one year they have never paid back in time and every time I crossed the payment threshold, I had to coax, cajole and then finally threaten them with dire consequences if my commission was not paid. So, it is not a question of formalities, but of obvious choice, done intentionally to rob me of my money.

I'll never forget some wise words given to me by Jonathon Mizel while at Yanik Silver's Underground in LA 4-5 years ago.

"I've never been stiffed by Clickbank."

In other words, don't promote people who you depend on to pay you. Promote people whose products are in Clickbank, JVZoo, Warrior Plus, etc. If you're waiting on a single guy to cut you a check, half the time, you'll be waiting forever.
