What is OWS coupon feeds and how do you get it ?

Am in plans to start a coupons site ( The various sites you see online supplying Discount coupon codes ) .
But I have some questions to get clarified . Will be of great help if you can educate me on this :
- How do these sites get the Coupon codes from sites ? ( Domain hosting providers , From shopping sites , Product sites etc. ) . I my knowledge I saw people say in forums that websites send these coupon codes to Coupon sites via. mail . I dont understand this process .
- I see people talking about something called the "OWS feeds" that bring in the coupons and adds them automatically . What is this OWS feeds ? Where can I get them ? ( I googled about it and was not able to find much info )
