I really don't want to blog!!!

I have a couple of blogs at the moment but I really find it incredibly boring posting again and again about things I don't care for.

Even if i was really into the niches I still think it's long winded way to sell stuff and can't help thinking that there must be a better way of making affiliate sales.

We all know google has slaugtered many thin affiliate and mfa sites but let's face it they were pretty effective for generating sales for alot of people.

Most people on here are just automatically "parroting" what everyone else is saying about these sites without any thinking or proof.

I still think it's still might be possible to make a killing with these type of sites as long as you are NOT relying on google and generating enough targeted traffic though your sites.

Is anyone still banking regularly with the (fire and forget) micro niche site model? and are you getting sufficient traffic WITHOUT Google.

Your thoughts.

  • If you don't want to do that, don't do that. It is not the only way to make money, try affiliate marketing via paid traffic sources...
  • Personally i can say that without Google and Based only on Bing and Facebook, i would get about 10-20 visitors per day, with Google i get about 150-200 visitors per day. So no you cannot leave without Google.
The micro-niche sites would be a success if you have about 100-200, but in case you have one then you can't pay even the hosting.

    • Agree!

You need this guys if you are looking for long term passive income, otherwise keep buying traffic.

      All the best
  • Dear ripley607!

I believe that you have to work continuously if you want to make money online. First of all you have to engage with a niche you like and at the end if you don't want to make posts, hire someone esle to do this task. You have to learn and work every single day! If you want to be successful in onliune business you need to test everything and if something does not work try something else!

    Thank you,
    Zouras
  • It is called a "sales page". You need to drive traffic to it, which does not require Google. People buy. You put money in your pocket.

Why don't you change your focus and find or create a product you can sell through a sales page, or create a sales funnel using an autoresponder series? You can then turn the "blogging" over to an army of affiliates who will help drive traffic to your sales page.

You could stop blogging and instead start focusing on creating videos, participating in forums, answering questions online, doing webinars, and other traffic generating ideas.
  • Work out how well your traffic is converting. Do you make 1 sales per every 100 people?? or 200??

Work it out then you know how much traffic you need to make the amount of money you want to make.

Once you know the amount of traffic you need you can start looking at how to get it.

You can then tell what a price is that you can pay for traffic to make a profit.

Once you get this clearer picture of your business you will be inclined to ask yourself better questions and be able to find better answers.
  • Whats the problam
Pay for somone to do it for you

    • It's a little bit hard to find good writers. I have an i-writer.com account, and sometimes the guys you find there are lousy, even if you pay a premium price.

I've realized that the best thing is to buy from them, and then tweak the article with your secret sauce

try doing mobile sites. all traffic is going that way
  • yeah I'd outsource it if I were in your position, providing those blogs are making money to cover the cost of outsourcing.
  • People who are saying pay people to write your blogs for you, what type of money are we talking about here? As I presume you want quality posts, with correct grammar etc you would probably need to hire native English speakers, which means first world countries I'm imagining that is not excatly cheap. And sounds like the original poster is not making a lot of money from these blogs currently so is this really and affordable option?
  • Stop torturing and being cruel to yourself. Forcing yourself to do things which you find no meaning is not cool.

Why don't you start a niche which you're particularly interested in? Probably that will give you more zeal and motivation to write.

And sometimes, I think it's also always good to ask ourselves what's the reason we wanna blog? Is it because we just wanna make money? Or is it because we want to help and inspire others by writing quality posts.

If you're planning to merely make money then no doubt, there are many other better ways to make money. If your goal is to inspire and help people.. then I'm sure you'll have lots of fun blogging and no doubt earn money at the same time.

Take it easy and give yourself a pad on the back.

  • Hi ,
I understand your frustration , I am like you I don't have the time and really don't like blogging..here is what to do ...follow exactly and you will get results

    1. Do a youtube video your self or use an existing one
    2. In the underneath of the video or the youtube video description place your website (my preference is an optin page) so i can always advertise to them.
    3. Advertise your tube video (not channel) using adword (do both text ads and use the ad builder to do image ads ....these 2 will bring plenty traffic

    4. I the adword setting use display network only and the maximum CPC should be no more than two cents.
    5. Make sure your adword budget is about $25.00 to start
    6. Do not make the mistake of using the video promotion in adword , you will waste a ton load of money.

This is going to get you a lot of easy and real traffic

Hope this help ....guys I am an author/business coach and marketing expert (off line and online)
I will be launching profit maximizer soon ...more info soon
  • yeah if you get a virtual assistant and pay on a monthly basis, then you can outsource the mundane task of blogging.
  • With sites like fiverr etc...you can find someone for almost all your marketing needs!!
  • Considering that mastering a marketing tehnique may take time, I don't know if we can say that blogging in particular takes too long to produce results.

However, if you don't want to do it and would find it more interesting to pursue another traffic method, then should pursue the one that you enjoy the most.
  • I'll write your blog posts for you (one per week at least) for free, if you're willing to let me use the work as a portfolio piece and credit me as the writer. Just a thought, that way you don't have to give up on blogging entirely. PM me if you're interested. I have writing samples.
  • If you don't want to write the blog posts, then you could take videos and post them to youtube. If it isn't just the writing, but content production altogether, then you could outsource them and turn them into posts and/or videos.

Alternatively, focus on paid traffic and a squeeze page/autoresponder combo then you can just focus on getting the autoresponder setup and then focus on conversions and product creation or affiliate launches.
  • Not blogging would be no different than running a website. You still have to update it everyday, and market it. You sound unmotivated. What's the real problem?
  • I have not read all the posts, so what I'm about to say may have already been mentioned.

I've done the same thing with building blogs but found it difficult to develop them. The reason, as you've discovered, is there was no interest in the niche, or blog topic.

I have developed blogs around topics I like, and it was no longer boring or a chore. I enjoy it and it doesn't seem like work.

    That's the big difference.

I've never built micro sites, so I cannot comment on your question. But I think the recent round of updates aimed at EMDs should answer your question. And what I've read over and over is some EMDs survived the latest update because they were not thin. The content was good, bounce rate was low, and the user experience was also good. So Google was able to tell that it's a quality site based on user behavior and metrics which they're all over.

I recommend you build a blog on something you're interested in and can monetize and make a profit from. Develop an email list, though.

You don't have to try and rank in Google to get traffic to it. Actually, you can use a combination of free traffic methods and low cost methods. This is very doable, and you don't really ever have to try and rank for it. Although I would do minimal SEO for the easier kw for which you can rank. They're easy enough and worth the effort.

Traffic is the least of your problems, actually.
