Amazon associates question

I applied for the program a few days back and have been granted access to the associates panel. If I don't get accepted, will I still be given access to it so I can apply again later?

Yes you will be able to apply again. I do not know of anyone that has been declined for the program though so as long as your application form was filled in correctly, I am sure you will get accepted.

    Hope this helps

I chose entrepreneurship over further education despite being laughed at by my friends and family..

I recently hit the "RESTART" button on my life, read my personal blog to find out how I did it :)

No you're not able to earn income from amazon when you're not yet an associate (another word, affiliate).

Apply for their program again. I was rejected by amazon when I first started out. But when I apply again, they miraculously approved me. I didn't change much details (maybe just a little).

If I get declined, I take it I lose access to the affiliate panel?

You will be accepted providing you answer all their questions. If not, you can ask them why.

The only thing is when it asked me for my site, I simply put in "movies" as I haven't actually purchased the domain yet, but I answered everything else.

You can not earn until you get accepted by them, knowing that you have not put a domain you might very well get declined. If thats the case, simply buy the domain, do some work on the site and then re-apply and you will be fine.

It's been over 10 days now and no response?

Am I accepted then as I still have access to the control panel, and they said they take between 3-5 days to review applications...

Yeah you should be ok, unless you're an axe murderer or wanted for something from another country, then you should be ok. Amazons commissions are small though. If you're new, it's an easy way to get traffic, but the commissions are so tiny that you need to have much volume. Or sell higher ticket items.

The Amazon Associates FAQ says "All you need to join is a Web site that does not...." and then lists a number of things you website must not do. But I think it's pretty clear you need a website to start earning. I've never heard of anyone being refused though so I think a very simple Wordpress site with a couple of posts would do it.

Ok, so I'll assume I've been accepted then.

Might shoot them an e-mail in the morning though.

You need to have an actual website in place. You cannot just list "movies".

The good news is that ANY website will work as long as you have at least some content on there. Even a free site like blogger will work so be sure that you have at least something in place and then submit the actual URL for that site.

I might just install wordpress, get a theme and upload one or two articles then in the meantime so if I'm not accepted, I can apply again and definitely get accepted.
