How to Sell products from Commission Junction?

I joined commission junction or CJ sometime back but I am finding it difficult to sell products. This may be due to the fact that I have not yet selected my niche. Which niche coverts well in CJ? I am interested in selling apparel from a website. Is it a powerful selling niche?

With CJ, you need to focus on each vendor individually (and you also have to be approved by each vendor individually).

Pick one whose products you believe you can sell (and whose products you like and considered good value for the money) and then promote that vendor's products. That way, you increase your chances of success a great deal.

Of course, you may want to promote more than one vendor, but if you spread yourself too thin, you may not make much money if any, and CJ will close your account...

    Good luck.

Will I be accepted into an affiliate program later if my application gets rejected by a vendor for the first time? Should I wait until I get accepted?

I think that you should apply to a few of them at the same time. I know that some of them are no longer active there so you can wait forever.

Yes, I too have noticed that many vendors become inactive all of a sudden. Yet I feel CJ is one of the best place to sell affiliate products.

Change your email notification settings for your CJ account so you'll know which programs you've joined are currently inactive. You'll get an email letting you know right away.

Some programs become inactive so they can perform maintenance and other reasons, but most of them are back and running the same day.

I sugesst if you want to start selling products from commission junction. Get yourself setup with a blog pertaining the niche you decided to sell. a blog is like a ssales capture page. U dont want to just start promoting the affiliate link of the products you choose cause people online need more convincing and more information.

Good luck on your online business

Yes, CJ is one of the best affiliate networks around and has many choices to choose from.

You can apply to as many affiliate programs in CJ that you want to, many of them are set to auto approve instantly so just start applying to some that you like and find out if you're approved.

Some of the affiliate programs in CJ look at your sales, I believe, and at your methods of marketing before approving you, so make sure you keep this in mind.

I've made good money with CJ, and I highly recommend them.

Pick a niche, build your site, THEN apply to the individual vendor programs. You'll be more likely to get accepted that way.

I agree with this. Also in my limited experience with CJ, some of the larger vendors were quite selective on affiliate approval and were looking for a good bit of traffic before approval. Smaller vendors seemes to approve quicker and easier.

Do your research and find a starving niche. Then go to CJ and pick a product that best suits the marketplace. You will need your own website too.

Log into your CJ account and click Get Links on your control panel , a list of categories will then appear , ignore these categories and simply click FIND. A list of the top performing merchants will then appear with their current sales stats based on 3 months EPC and 7 day EPC.

These programs are converting well , that's the good news. The bad news is that they are highly competitive but you know if you have the right kind of traffic these offers will convert.

low EPC offers will convert very well like high EPC offers too.
but you have to expect lower commission for average transaction.
