Hi Guys,

I just took out my first solo ad (not very knowledgeable about it) I got my guaranteed 200 unique clicks and not 1 Opt -In!!!

Is this normal or did I pick a bad Solo Ad gig?

edit: my opt in page is the last item on my sig line if you want to check it out. I don't think it sucks that bad but its also my first squeeze page so what do I know.

Not getting 1 single opt in is absolutely shocking out of a 200 click solo ad

something has obviously seriously gone wrong

You need to make sure that your squeeze page def had traffic sent to it

If it didn`t then speak to the solo seller

If the traffic did go to your squeeze page then you need to seriously look at your squeeze page

It must be shockingly bad not to get 1 single opt in

This is tough because maybe your opt in page is not that good.

Maybe the list that you brought from is bad.

Maybe your auto-responder is not working at all and not collecting these emails even though people have typed their name and email into your responder.

Before you do anything, next time come here and let us know and we can check your opt in page.

Some people do not scroll the landing pages, so I recommend you try to compact the landing page to fit on the above the fold.

The ecover it's so big, so make it small and put it right after the squeeze format, and compact the benefit list.

Also try it without the header, is not benefit and take very valuable space.

Yeah solos aren't for the faint of heart for sure. You need to be willing to toss some money out there and realize that some of the ads will suck. If however you run several solos and still no optins..then you need to change your capture page.

Looking at your squeeze page, I would have expected
at least a few opt-ins. The page does need refining.

Maybe the traffic just wasn't very targeted.

Do you know where the traffic was from, etc.?

Mostly from Safelist? I don't know anything about them but there are just different versions of Safelist

You can trust in safelists as a traffic source... They can guarantee the clicks, but they can't guarantee that the people seeing your offer is really interested.

A lot of these safelists give credits to people who click links, so I'd try a different approach

Thanks but trust me I didn't know that my clicks were coming from safelists definitely won't be using him again. It pisses me off too cuz he had lots of (fake im guessing) testimonials and no bad reviews .... sigh another expensive mistake and lesson learned

Sure. It's a very good method for increasing the landing page's bounce rate and telling Google to rank your page higher  Software generated traffic is even better

Yeah, some people use safelists, there's no doubt... Just curious, would you pay $50 for 200 safelist guaranteed clicks?

            1) If the answer is no (irrespective of how good your landing page is), then maybe next time you won't post ambiguous comments in similar situations. It won't help the OP if you post a comment that may suggest that everything is fine, only the landing page might need some modifications. Not the landing page was the major problem in his failure.

            2) If the answer is yes, well, then... what can I say? That's fine, I got your point and it doesn't bother me when someone has another opinion than mine

I'm always suspicious of guaranteed clicks for any
kind of advertising, but your optin page really needs
    some attention.

    1. The use of the blue color in font and header
pulls the eyes all over the place--it's hard to
    read.

    2. The Optin box is not the center of attention
for your page. That is the ACTION you want
people to take so make it prominent.

    3. The page is too wide. Keep it under 650-700 px.

    4. The header doesn't help and takes up too much
"above the fold space" which is precious real estate
    on any optin page.

    5. The HUGE graphics of the ebook doesn't help
either. Makes the page seem amateurish.

    6. People don't want to "learn" anything, they
want to "uncover, discover, find out, etc." Learning
    is too hard.

As Yadira Barbosa pointed out, I would go for a squeeze page that has less elements on it. The squeeze pages I use are in general like that and I have had optin rates above 30% with solo ad traffic and traffic from the warrior forum.

I checked your squeeze page too and I can say that it's not one of the best I've ever seen But for sure it's not the worst one

Improving the page will help you in the future. That's fine but that doesn't solve the actual case.

Please follow my logic and see what and how I think...

Step 1 - Did your solo ad mention that you give away THAT book? I guess that the answer is yes. Go to Step 2.

Step 2 - Why some vendor's subscribers (200) clicked on your link? To get THAT book for free. Go to Step 3.

Step 3 - After they clicked on your link, what did they see on your squeeze page? The simple and usual method to get the book they WANTED for free. Go to Step 4.

Step 4 - Why 200 people who wanted THAT book (or had some interest in getting THAT book) suddenly changed their mind?

4.1 Is it because you asked too much (name, email address, phone number, wife's name , etc)? No.

4.2 Is it because your squeeze page is not the very best? No. When someone wants an ebook that can be obtained for free, then that person doesn't care whether your squeeze page is nice or not.

4.3 Is it because your site was down? I don't know, check it... If the answer is NO, go to the next step...

4.4 Is it because your form doesn't work? I don't know, check it... If the answer is NO, go to the conclusions...

If your form works, then I am 100% sure that 200 persons who had some interest in getting that book for free CANNOT change their mind suddenly. All of them! No way! Then ... what? Then... it means that they actually didn't click on your link in order to get your book.

Then why did they click on your link?

An incentive for clicking on your link. Such as credits from vendor's part (like in some safelists case).

Another possible reason: the traffic that came to your squeeze page was diverted by the seller from ANOTHER solo ad offering ANOTHER ebook for free.

Other possible reason: software generated traffic (bots).

    ***

For the moment I don't see other options, check what is applicable to your case.

    I hope this helps you.

200 clicks is not much, but it is clear that something is wrong there. It can be either your email content or the people from that list are not interested in your offer.

No way. When an ad copy is not good or when people are not interested in an offer they do NOT click on the link from the ad. The OP got the clicks. The problem is another one: the source of traffic (safelists).

0% opt in rate? shocking.. the next time before getting a solo, ask for testimonials and make sure you track if he is really delivering.. the squeeze page is not that bad.. you just need to change some alignment.

A suggestion for you... have something on the exit just in case people accidentally leave the page, you may still be able to offer them something..

    my 2 cents
