Advertising Traffic, Where do You Send it? Squeeze or Sales Page?

Hello people,

I wanted to know how you handle this. For Advertising AND Affiliate traffic... where do you send it? Squeeze Page or Sales Page?

Where did you have more success?
Have you tried squeeze pages EVEN if you had CB affiliates? Was it well received?

Tank you

    Hi Paul,

    Great question you've got there!

It would be better if you mix-n-match landing pages. Plug some analytics and check what works for your niche.

Set up 3 or 4 pages and test to see which converts the best, then use the best one as your template and test and tweak each aspect until you have the best page possible. Some times softening the prospects up before sending them to a squeeze works better. There is not set method you just have to play around with things.

    Hi Paul,

Yes you need to test, test and test again!

If you are spending on advertising then you will soon see what is working and what needs to tweaked etc.

Allow your results to make your decisions on what you need to roll out or drop from your sales funnel.

Don't think too long and just start where you are by taking action.

All the best and hope this helps!!!

You should always be using a squeeze/capture page in my opinion.
If not you are missing out on a ton of sales.

Capturing their information allows you to sell them for the rest of time. (given that you don't just bombard them with offers 20 times a day)

      HOpe That Helps.

I would usually have both. A capture page tells the customer more information about your product before getting them to buy it. I also use blogs for capture pages also. You just have to test your pages to see what works for u. The best of luck.

And the easiest answers is try both, check and analyze. If you ask us here, mostly people will suggest it too. Or just say "it depends blah blah", and everyone is likely to have a different experience.
I personally prefer to sales page.

Yeah should always send to squeeze page, that way of course you can follow up with them, if granted they give you the correct email. But just sending to sales page, well they're gone once they hit exit on your sales page window.

    3 steps here,

    1) test

    2) test

    3) then test some more.

I guess you get my point!!!

However, you need to build a lists, and send our traffic to our squeezepages has worked wonders.

I do a bit of both..
However I'm leaning more these days to squeeze pages..
that way it's not just hit and run traffic. If they have interest, you can always build a relationship in your follow ups and offer the sales page again when you've gained a bit of trust.

Squeeze page should be the first choice, and collect e-mails from visitors. And you should add the squeeze page as popup window in the sales page too.

      Like others said, Test it!

Advertising campaigns are almost like snowflakes, no 2 will look the same.

You will have to see what is working for the traffic you are purchasing. Setup a split testing campaign testing both the landing page and the offer.

The landing page is a good option because you can collect emails an build a list of your own.

      Now for Affiliate Traffic....

As an affiliate, I would never promote an offer that goes directly to a squeeze page. If I am an affiliate, chances are I pre-sold them on your offer and I want them to see your sales page with the buy button - nothing else.

It depends on how your conversions will end up. I used a sales page for one week and recorded my conversions. Than I used an autoresponder the following week and received greater conversions because of my approach on my autoresponder. If you approach your audience correctly on your auto responder branding yourself, you should have a great list to get sales. But if you don't want to build a list, use a sales page.

I use squeeze pages , 2 different to split testing, I use Adwatcher to set the campaign, and get which lading page converts better.

Include a pop out to an offer if the prospect do not subscribe and if they subscribe are redirected to the same offer, and then my sales funnel.

    I would suggest using a squeeze/capture page.
It would be excellent for your business if you could grow yourself a targeted email list

You can set up your own squeeze page and then follow up with them. The problem is that very few will even open your emails no matter how good your emails are and the titles.

I know that the fortune is in the follow up but I have tested this and came to a conclusion that you can send your traffic to the sales page and make more sales. They are either interested or not.

From my own testing, every time someone subscribed to my newsletter, most of the buyers got in right away after they opted in.

Out of 500 subscribers, maybe 2-4 might buy after a few weeks (That is bad in my view).

I also tested what my numbers would be if I were to send all of my prospects right to the sales page or video presentation page without collecting their name and email. It is a little better then trying to convince them to join the opportunity with a few follow up messages.

So Paul, I would send them directly to the sales page.

That is my opinion and I am sure that a few here will disagree with me.

Squeeze page first! Get the opt in then redirect them to a sales page to purchase the product or view a presentation. This way you are building your list also.

Thank you guys for the replys...

I LOVE this forum. I decided to go with a squeeze page and see how it delivers.
I'll give it a week or two and then go back to direct Sales page.

    THANKS A MILLION

    It depends on your offer.
If your offer have a short cycle life eg. cpa offer , try to direct link to landing page.

If your offer have a lot of related product to promote or have a high completion , using squeeze is better because your epc is higher than others.

Best marketing practice is to send them to a squeeze
page that would lead to the sales page. In this way
you can market to them through email over a period
of time rather than having just one shot.

It is called sales funnel :
Get free autoresponder at ListWire and place a form on the page.
Go to facebook or buy traffic and send it to sign up page.
Have a welcome email and a gift

    why they're joining your list...
In general, these are the reasons why someone would join a list:
    1) To stay informed about something
    2) To receive an offered report, product or otherwise some form of value
    3) To activate or use a service/product
    4) To register as a customer after a purchase
    5) To become a member of a community
    6) To access discounts and product specials
    7) To join or register for an event

    How do you make money?
Hard-sell your persona immediately (have a story..how did you make it,get credibility)
Be open and transparent that you are a marketer - but explain why you do it
Don't spam-Live up to your persona by only ever sharing good, cool stuff.
If applicable, focus on building lists that love to buy, such as
customers and discount-seekers. Not freebie seekers.

Be transparent about promotion, but offer a lot of value in that post as
well, following up with a hypothetical example to show the power of the strategy.

    Usually people:
    - Hard sell main offer
    - Hard sell main offer again
    - Hard sell another offer
    - Send out a second mailing, with some kind of excuse
    - Cross-promote someones stuff
    - Sell something else....
they get no results, email list is not responsive

    You should:
-Convert them and make them responsive by hard-selling your self (learn from gurus, subscribe to something good)
-Cool secret about method or system (no promo, give value)
-Instigate conversation with a blog post or facebook likes/comments under video ,make it interesting...
    - Promo- I introduce the method or system and show real results. Then explain how it works (for free), recommending either a free resource or paid product that directly ties in to the concept.
    -Blog Post -No direct promo.
-Promo- More excitement and results, testimonials from others
    -Article-No direct promo.
-Promo--More benefits, what is in it for them,...
    -Video- No direct promo.
    -Instigate conversation again.
    - Promo-More value and benefits...
    -Rant of some kind

If you don't have testimonials get them on mturk or fiverr.

like most warriors had mentioned, you need to test and fine tune the sales funnel till you get optimal results.
