I can do a lot of things but nobody..

Seems interested in letting me showcase me stuff by helping them out.

I've been looking to take some work on from most quarters for over a year now and for whatever reason, nobody seems interested in taking the chance on me that's required. I dont think I've done much wrong, I'm not rude, don't tend to be late with many things and am generally as helpful, as hard-working and motivated as possible.

I dont have a particular in depth skill, like for example a WSO revolving around 'SEO in 30 days and so on' but I can do a fair amount of things.

- Article write
- Backlink
- Promote
- Advertise
- I have plenty of time on my hands.
- I can do admin jobs for people regarding pretty much everything.

I dont understand why its going so wrong and no-one is willing to give me a chance.

Well it depends on what you are selling and how you are introducing the product or service to someone. I did miserable years ago trying to sell products, but was not targeting people to the specific keywords or topics.
This is what I would recommend:
    - Article write - Make sure you have quality content that will attract your visitors interest with quality words and tags on the article.
    - Backlink - Make sure you are not getting crappy backlinks form other people, I recommend you to build up your own backlinks. It takes time but you will know where your quality backlinks are coming from.
    - Promote - Find other means of promoting if some of your resources are not working. I had to go over 12-20 different resources online to find the ones that work best for my business.
    - Advertise - Focus on as much free advertising as possible and only put 20% of your profits into paid advertising. I use craigslist, youtube, blogging, and forums.

I hope this helps, good luck and stay consistent in your marketing and you will see light at the end of the tunnel.

Thanks for the reply, I probably didnt word myself correctly in the OP. I actually meant nobody on the WF seems interested in hiring me or taking a chance on my skills despite spending months and months helping others out for free via Skype and so on. Im just wondering if there's something I'm doing wrong.

I have tried Fiverr, WSO - replying all around the forum, sending helpful PM's round. Im not asking for a million dollar contract obviously, but I just can't seem to get anything from anywhere.

Replying around the forum and sending helpful PMs is bordering on spam. If you're serious about offering services, put a listing up in Warriors for Hire and prove you can do what you're offering and offer it at a price that people are willing to pay. It's that simple.

Could be several issues you ought to explore:

    1. You're not advertising in the right venues
    2. Your ads don't differentiate you from all the other services out there
    3. With FiveRR and other cheap IM services, maybe you're trying to compete in a corner of the market that is too competitive, too saturated, or too cheap
    4. Maybe you're being seen as a "jack of all trades" when the market is asking for a "master" of a particular skill set
    5. Are you building a list in the niches you hope to penetrate? If not, maybe the problem is simply that you need to make repeated offerings to your prospects before they are going to trust you and give you their money
    6. Have you put your accomplishments "out there" so that prospects can get an idea of your great work?

One alternative that has worked for others is to offer to do small easy tasks for free to allow others to see how good you are. Then maybe some will be more apt to go with you after they know you can produce.

    Good luck,

    Steve

    Thanks for the reply.

    - I have never had or tried a WSO or classified ad, simply because I dont have the skills in that sector to make or design a really good, attractive and vibrant looking ad. Mine would just consist of a ridicolous amount of textual content that most people would get bored of after a little less than 2 paragraphs.

    - The issue I have is that I feel I am good at 4 or 5 things, but not particularly 'amazing' at any of them which worries me about advertising properly. Make one false claim or have one big let down on a forum like this and your name goes to mud almost instantly over-night.

Thanks for the tips and advice though, they will be taken into consideration.

Just getting back to you on my last comment, I still recommend you to use the techniques I told you before, but you need to brand yourself in this forum by talking to more and more marketers daily to start seeing results. As I said before, you need to be consistent. I usually spend about 4-5 hours on the forum everyday and blog the rest of the day and I get results.

Yeah you probably are letting your emotions get in the way. You need to take your emotions out of the process, and then you will realize it's a numbers game and it's business. Once you start to get a few clients, your woe is me attitude will change.

When I go to hire someone I want to find the best that my money can get.

I want closest to expert as I can get.

      Become an expert on something.

Also, make an ad, then make another, and another, and pass them by some people you trust and keep refining it until you find an ad you feel will give you some traction.

I'm absolutely horrible at writing copy. But this doesn't mean I'm not going to keep trying until I have something that works.

Also, offer the skills ala carte, and combine those skills into some kind of package.

      - Article write
      - Backlink
      - Promote
      - Advertise
      - I have plenty of time on my hands.
      - I can do admin jobs for people regarding pretty much everything.
Why are you not promoting and advertising for yourself then?

This sends a conflicting message. How can I expect you to help promote and advertise for me if you can't even use your skills to promote and advertise yourself?

I'm in no way saying you can't do those things, but seeing you do it for yourself is more proof of what you can do.

Anyway, bring yourself to expert status on those skills (or even one of them) and you'll have no problem finding people who will want to hire you.

I believe you have more than what it takes to proof to others. Have faith and you need to brand yourself differently in order to stand out.

As with offline jobs, you need to appear confident!

You have many skills that you can use.

Just don't give up! There have been some invaluable
suggestions given to you here by people who, like you,
      work very hard every day.

Remember, if this were all so very easy, everybody
would be doing it..and they are not.

Once you get a reputation as an "expert," you will be
      hired many times over.

You should spend some time getting better at one thing you really like to do or you think is your best skill. And promote that one! You will see offers will also come for your other skills.

But you really need to brand yourself better. You have a wrong facebook link on your profile and in your signature a sports forum - that doesn't inspire trust to me...

There is nothing to be disappointed over here. You need to be patience. I would like to suggest you that you need to show some of your tasks and you need to prove yourself. As you have said that you can do couple of tasks fairly well then give some of your task as link for others verification. After that others might show their interest to give their task to you . Best of luck and don't be frustrated.

    Jack,

You are probably presenting yourself as a COMMODITY.

Business owners don't want SEO or articles or videos - they want results! PERIOD.

If you are failing to present yourself properly, then nobody will want to listen to you.

If you wanna have a chat and see if you can pick up any tips, PM me.

    Jack,

First, there's nothing at all wrong with a text ad or text sales copy. There are people who make 6 figures but who can write great copy and it's always text-based. Run across a few of them even on this forum.

So don't worry about that. I'm convinced not everyone can figure out graphics as easily as a basic sales page. So just educate yourself about a little sales psychology and sales copy. It's not really that difficult to get something decent up to let people know how you can help them.

Also, have you considered applying to the CIA or MI6 to help them chase down terrorists and other spies that want to harm the West?
