AWeber Question - Is There A Way To Avoid Broadcast Mailing People Who Are Going Through FU Series?

GetResponse used to have this feature, but I don't see it in AWeber or GetResponse these days.

Does anyone know if there's a way in AWeber to broadcast e-mails only to people who are NOT in the middle of your followup series?

In aweber, you should have separate lists set up: one for the AR series, and one for the general newsletter (and more, of course, if you want.)

When you create a broadcast message, you have to scroll all the way down to where you set the broadcast time. All of your lists should be, well, listed, and automatically checked...uncheck those you don't want.

No, I want to broadcast e-mails to a list that has a short followup series, but only want to broadcast to that list when those people are already done with the followup series.

Have you contacted Aweber support for this? They know better.

      Not yet.

Was going to see if any fellow Warriors knew before sitting around waiting for AWeber to get back to me.

It looks like you can select Active Subscribers when segmenting and broadcasting an e-mail, but you can't select Inactive Subscribers... hmmmmmm...

I just put in a support request, but it looks like they're out of the office because of Hurricane Sandy.

Oh, I get it, you want to move people to a different list after they're done with an autoresponder series?

I do believe they can do that...I remembered looking into it at some point, but Kal is right, Aweber can help you. And actually, if you do the live chat, it's pretty quick. I've found them to be really responsive.

    Good luck,

      Good luck,
I wasn't looking to move people to a different list after completing a followup series, but that would be cool... I don't see that Automation feature though.

Ok, maybe not as responsive when there's a hurricane going on

OK, I think I just created that Segment...

    Went here https://www.aweber.com/users/leads/search

    Selected Message #.

Typed in the Last Message #.

Created a Name for the Segment.

    Done.

I personally checked this and there is no way.

When you send a broadcast to your list, it goes out to everyone.

What I did is actually delete all the automatic emails because I am more happy when I send out a broadcast to everyone at the same time.

Wow I didn't even know about the segmented list feature.

So someone said they have 2 separate lists; one for followups an another for broadcasts. How do you go about adding 1 subscriber to 2 or more lists?

I uses Traffic Wave, and it has a filter function, which can filter out the e-mails which have gone through the AR messages, then I can broadcast to this group.

I stopped doing automated follow ups.

Sending real messages via broadcasts will give you a massive advantage to those sending cold, automated, robotic, emotionless messages.
