Is it still a good idea to install the Login Lockdown plugin? The details say that the plugin hasn't been updated in over 2 years, so will this likely result in any compatibility problems in the near future.

  • I recently removed Login Lockdown, not because of any compatibility problems but simply because it hadn't been updated for so long that I assume its author has abandoned it.

In its place I installed WordFence security - a better alternative. I reviewed it here:

    Cheers,

    Martin.

Thanks. Do you still recommend installing the Bulletproof Security plugin in addition to WordFence security or isn't it needed?

  • I removed it too. It did cause problems with one of my sites, and since it hadn't been updated I just went ahead and removed it from all sites I had it on.
