does Profile links increase site back links ?

Hello,

I want to know that if i submit profile links to various social networking sites, than it will increase my site back links or not?

    Yes, those will increase the number of your backlinks, but that doesn't necessary means that it will help your with your search engine rankings.. Profile links have been devalued a few updates ago already. They were the big thing when Angela and Paul were selling them on this forum. In these days, you will have a big problem getting them indexed and they also have very small ranking power.. But on the other hand you can use them to diversify your link profile and get a few links with generic anchors to diversify your anchor texts even more.. In conclusion i would say, have them in your link building strategy, but don't rely on them to give you good rankings

    In a small way but not enough to improve your overall ranking.

    Quality backlinks and content helps a lot. Instead on just focusing on one way of improving links, another good way is to build a portfolio of consistent backlinks.
