Recommendations for Landing Page?

I'm trying my hand at making a list from PPC. My conversion rate is crap though. Does anyone have any recommendations on what I should test/change?

    Try putting an or the opt in at the top of the page

    I think it would look better on a white background.

    The heading needs changing as well "stupid simple ways" put me of a little.

    And centre the hole thing.

    Patrick,

    I would have a white page rather then a blacked out page.

    The women on the website, I would get rid of here. Plus the graphic is way to large.

    Another thing I would do is to add on your subscriber form a NAME so that people can enter their name for more personalization.

    Ya I agree, white background, change the headline to convey a major benefit. Try to use the word free and/or reveal in the headline too. Also, if you can change the button to 'Next' or something along those lines

      Yeah, I guess that's not the nicest headline ever. White background seems to be everyone's thoughts as well. Didn't even realize it was off center. Thanks man, I'll switch it up some.

      White background for sure. I was debating getting rid of the girl. Doesn't really add anything. Should I add a video preview or just get rid of the graphic all together? Also, I thought adding the name field reduces the conversion rate because its one more step?

      Clearly the headline and background need changing. I like the idea of free in the headline, and making sure it's a benefit. I never thought of saying Next on the button. I like that. Thanks man!

    Hey Patrick!

    What kind of traffic source are you using?

    Now, about your squeeze page. First of all, these pages have two main purposes:
    1. Filter your potential customers from the rest
    2. Presell your offer.

    So, what you need to do is center your headline in the main benefit of your offer... Also look for a hook, that will push people's buttons

    Don't give them to much information about the offer, just tell them who's this offer directed to and why they have to opt-in... And before the optin form use a very strong call of action

      It's all PPC and PPV. From PoF and some other sites. Clicks are cheap but conversions are much too little to make it profitable.

      The headline is clearly blowing it. Got it. So much more in line with benefit vs feature.

    Your headline is really weak. It doesn't stop me in my tracks and get my attention. So if people don't get pulled in by the headline, they'll just click away. Also your bullet points are pretty weak too.

    Everyone here is worried about the look of the site, and while that is important, it's the copy that sells. If you have weak copy, you won't get what you want. In this case it's optins. If your copy draws you target market in and gets them to keep reading and it's exactly what they're looking for, you'll get your optins.

    So take a look at what you can change as far as your copy goes. It's so much more important than the look of the site.

      Hey scofford, I missed your post! I think you're right. I'm just not a very good copy writer I guess. Oh well, it is a skill that needs to be learned. Thanks for the help, I'll make them more... Awesome.

    I figured for a "Learn to get hot chicks" offer that PlentyOfFish would be pretty targeted.

    Here is an updated LP that I'm going to try out. Can't change the girl right now, but I will try that out soon.
