It really depends on whether the comment was appropriate and relevant to your post. If it is not, get rid of it. If the comment was obviously made just to advertise the link, dump it.

If you keep it, you will be helping the spammer out. Do you want to do that? It will also look like no one is moderating the blog. That will signal a new wave of spam.

I would definitely delete it because first off, you want a good user experience on your blog. The blog post and the comments/discussion about the post all fall into giving the user a good experience. If the comment doesn't add value to the post, or isn't someone's opinion about that particular subject, why keep it?

Another reason is that spamming blogs for link juice is simply wrong, and it's an annoyance to just about every blogger I know.

Why should you let someone else benefit from your post when they obviously didn't take the time to read it or add their own opinion? When folks add their own subject based opinion, it makes for an interesting discussion, and that can keep people coming back to your blog. People like having discussions and interacting, just look at how many forums there are!

I can't really speak to the SEO aspect of it, but I would think that a link that has spammed hundreds of blog posts can't be good for your blog. I would think that if Google is all about the user experience, they would probably look down on a website that links to a spammed link.

Personally, I'd mark it as spam in my blog and then trash it. BTW, are you using Akismet?

Bro, it is not a problem at all. If you want than you can keep it. But i just want to warn you that there are some links directly directed to some negative and porn sites. All you need to do is to regular check to those links and keep your blog free from harmful users. Best of luck.

Spam comments do not help your blog at all. Get rid of them.

It's your right to either accept or reject all comment.

But if you want comments on your blog, it should be something highly related to your blog post, it doesn't matter if the commentor use his anchor or not, so long as he or she read your post and made a meaningful contribution then it's good to go.

I always delete any comments that I think are spam and have absolutely nothing to do with my blog or post.

What would spam posts do anyway lol? I just keep them but don't delete it lol. You should make your posts be approved first then. Delete posts if it doesn't have anything to do with your topic or it's not specific enough to what you're looking for.

    1. It depends if that comment is relevant to the content of your post.
    2. See if their links are tidy and readable.
    3. Visit their blogs to see if people comments on their posts.
    4. Check names they put in the comment.

And if you want more comments so desparately, you have to becareful of spam comments. (Install Comment Luv or use Akismet to avoid it).
