3 years and only made $65 ... Help

so you spent $1000 on training. How much have you spent on driving traffic to your sites/offers.

What have you actually tried? And by "tried" i mean, what systems or ideas have you actually put 3 months or so of solid effort into.

What did you do to make the $65?

I started internet marketing in 2008 and made $0 dollars in 3 years. Only until this year, i decided not to keep on jumping around, choose one method and FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS and finally started to make money only this year.

Mind you, i continuosly writing posts for my website and only after about 2 to 3 months before there are nice traffic and sales.

After that i just continue to send more traffic and create more sites using the same strategy but different niches. My advice is to quit buying other MMO products and take action.

By the way, i am making some good money from Amazon, their conversion rates is quite high as compared to promoting digital products (i may be wrong), but that is what works for me.

First, I'm amazed at your determination to keep going even though you have yet to see the results you want.

Secondly, have you ever think of getting some famous internet marketer to give you a one-to-one training and guide you along your way until you earn a consistent passive income online. However, this may not work for you considering you seem to have financial difficulty.

So, what you can do to earn money online immediately is to offer your services, whatever you can think of that people are willing to buy from you. You can start with freelancer.com, fiverr.com or odesk.com, just to name a few.

And when you feel like going back to your online business, then get someone to guide you through and stick with his/her method until you see result.

I think a lot of times, the simple methods are a lot more effective than the complicated ones for new IMers such as you and myself. Many people will tell you to learn how to drive traffic to your website through CPC advertising and earn money doing that or will recommend buying traffic or buying solo ads... but I have tried several things like that, and the only thing that has given me a nice ROI is building simple, easy to navigate websites. I build content pages and then work to funnel the visitors to that content to either an Amazon product relating to that topic or to a subscriber list to get them coming back to my website.

I drive traffic to the website by getting SEO traffic from low traffic keywords that are easy to rank for and require nearly no backlinking as well as a social media page and a subscriber list that I can inform whenever I make a new post. Its boring work at times, but it is actually more enjoyable than you might think after you get started... especially once you start getting daily clicks and/or sales

Well, how does your email list look? How are you going about building a relationship with your list, moreover how are your traffic techniques working for you and are you monitoring which techniques work for you the best? Is your squeeze page user friendly and comforting are things I would take into consideration.

If you have a particular skill, then it is better to sell your time and expertise (freelance site like odesk, Fiverr, or Warrior hire section is good to start). Get a few thousands $, break a while, look at the market, den start an invest in a new program.

You don't need to waste your time...

I would say start selling services if you have any skills like writing, designing, programming, typing etc.

you should start by making sure there is a market for what you are offering on your sites

concentrate on one market/niche

make an authority website/blog

learn everything there is to learn about traffic generation/seo/smm etc...

test what converts better and scale it up.

take action and use your time wisely.

Instead of finding a quick push button, go back tot the old and hard route of working yourself.

Don't buy backlinks, build them yourself.

Don't buy traffic, pay for adwords after research and split testing.

And the list goes on.

Dear you need only SEO Tech , I have a site , I have started befor 5 months , I spent daily 2 hour a day , 1 hour for post and 1 hour for SEO , and today I am earning more then $2 a day just with Seo of 1 Hour. I suggest to don't buy any traffic , Google do not prefer to send Traffic on those site.

the fastest way to get cash is to offer offline service. Review what you have at your hand that might be interested by other IMers. Then offer them on fiverr. I made my first sale on fiverr - $5. (actually it was $4, one dollar taken by fiverr). And the sale came in after 3 hours i put on the gig.

also another way to make some offline cash is find something good on fiverr and offer them to offline business. Like make logo, poster and so on. You buy in cheap and sell high. You make profit.

Before 3 years ago it was possible to make $10000+ after $1K investment but now Google methods are changed. You should make some realistic new product base sites and promote them in PPC.

You need to focus on your marketing/SEO plan. And yes, like everyone else here suggest, stop spending money on paid traffic. You need to create a more reliable and concrete SEO/marketing plan based from effective strategies you've read on forums and blog sites.

So first, create a plan. Your plan should involve all SEO tasks you'll be doing, the amount of time you'll be spending on each task, and also your short and long term goals.

Also, it would be helpful if you also put everything in one excel file. Create an excel file with all our SEO tasks and information. This way, it will be easier for you to track your efforts and see if one or more strategies is actually working for you or not.

I suggest you also re-evaluate your website, see if you are missing something or if you need to change things.

If you really need to make money desperately, start with offering services (writing, graphic designer, programmer, app development, etc) instead, just like some of the posters here mentioned. Once you are in a steady place, then you can go ahead and do something more for supplementary income. You need to have money to spend before you spend any more.

Here are my 2 cents...
Sometimes I drift away in different things instead of making one thing work. Has that happened to you? Consider one stream of income.. like amazon products, clickback or CPA. Try several promotional mechanisms (youtube, article marketing, comments on blogs, backlinking services, pinging services) for those.. preferably by putting on your site. We need to do this religiously with all faith. Its not a easy thing. Just imagine the time (3 years) was put on a specific activity, site, niche and with various promotional mechanics.. I am sure you might have started with one and moved on to other approach thinking that u r not getting any results. I feel if u have worked almost every day in these 3 years, u r not short of knowledge. Good luck. And hoping u post a success story soon... Desperate needs demands drastic actions...of course positive.

You need to sit down and decide what you are going to do. Put your credit card away and don't buy any more programs.

You need $500 a month right? That's just under $17 a day.

Decide on your vehicle to do this. Affiliate marketing? Clickbank? Amazon? Offline?

Pick one AND ONE ONLY.

Then look through the stuff you bought ad the warrior forum and read up on it and then start taking action. Don't go buying stuff, don't get distracted, just stay focused and keep taking action for 90 days.

You'll see results in that time and it'll work for you. The key is to take regular and consistent action. Have a realistic plan for what you are going to do every day to help keep you focused. You can do it but you have to be focused and stop getting distracting. Stop looking for push button solutions and start taking action and you'll succeed.

imho~ i think you have to change your mentality. You just want to do it fast. For extra $500, why not take up another job. I think it might be easier for you. And I noticed that you did not focus on one method, correct me if I am wrong..

My advice:
1.develop thorough strategies for your website by keeping account of current trends and conditions
2.don't waste your money on more "products" promising this and that...
3.try to advertise your site for free with SM, SEO, YouTube etc.

Potentially try new projects, it might have happened that Google penalized your sites for some reason...

um..take action. If you did what these courses told you to actually do, then you would probably be making money. Making $500 a month online is very easy. My guess is that you put in 10 min of work after sifting through the course, got discouraged that you weren't making money after 5 mins and then come on the forums to complain.

Look man, you have to give it like 90 days min of focused effort and create content (you say 3 years but that was probably 90% in learning mode), especially if you're new to this stuff. You have to figure out so many variables that most people end up quitting.

But seriously, for you to make $500 a month, go buy a WSO on here, like $7 on how to make money on amazon selling products. You don't have to sweat the big stuff like products and merchants etc, you just build a blog and do review sites on products that are new or coming out and then at the end put a link to your amazon affiliate link so they click on it and buy.

Or you could set up reviews blog that goes to clickbank products and make sales that way. 2 or 3 sales a week of most any cb product will get you to $500 a month.

Only $65 from online marketing, in 3 years?? What exactly did you do these past 3 years? Internet marketing can take up so much of your time. So where and what did you focus on exactly?

Since you know Clickbank/Amazon has worked for you, take some time to go through searching Clickbank/Amazon threads either through the 5 star posts on the main forum or in the War Room. Look at posts from great contributors in those areas such as wolfmii . Take some notes on what has worked for them and then emulate their gameplans.

You don't need to spend any more money (except for domain/hosting) as there's ample information out there to get you going!

Use google keyword tools (exact) and google insight to plugin in verbs, adjectives and phrases. Copy down what these tools yield (at least 90 monthly S.V.)

Plugin in those keywords in the google search bar and see what your comp is like? are they targeting 'that' keyword. is it in the title? Description? domain? Whats there PR?

Plugin in those keywords again and use the auto complete function. Copy down those words for your post titles.

After the first two weeks you will then be adding no less than 3 posts a week with the above criteria. Mon Wed Fri posting on your blog.

tues and thurs you will be on myblogguest.com talking to webmasters in your niche providing them with high quality posts and backlinking to your blog and posts.

make sure you vary your anchor text and that those links are do follow.

on Saturdays you will make one video with logo intro (as discussed in the zombie thread) that will go along with on of your posts discussing something of value for your audience.

From the tone of your posts it sounds like you really need this $500 a month. Starting an online business under such circumstances has to be considered high risk.

Many would-be retirees are remaining in the workforce to some degree nowadays. I would probably explore that and work with the online stuff on the side until it develops into something real.

And start reading warrior forum. continue reading and you will understand how it works.Then gradually you should start investing in the safest place. But i prefer not to spend a single penny. you should earn something then spend that to earn more.

If you can write good then learn keyword research and find some less competitive keywords with the help of Adwords keyword tool..... write articles based on less competitive keywords, do link building for your site and get first ranking, use Adsense to earn money...... make it simple process.

You could easily earn that extra $500 a month getting a J.O.B (dare I say the word).

That's what i did when i wasn't making BIG Bucks in IM.
It took me a fair bit of time, however I now close 1 out off 5 letters that i send out to these carefully researched small biz owners...

The only thing stopping you is take action and stick with one method which makes you some money. Just rinse and repeat.

Honestly-- freelance your way into a strong stable income. Then try to do internet marketing for yourself on the side.

IM is not a stable field unless you can finance your own efforts to get through the positive's and negatives.

I went through a similar problem phase and got out of it by focusing on one area.

no matter what you do, you need to KNOW YOUR NUMBERS, your visitor value, your conversion rates, click through rates etc ... I'm willing to bet you have not paid attention to your numbers at all during the years.

When you start to do that, you can basically predict your earnings and write your own checks.

so my suggestion is ... learn how to track your numbers so that what ever method you are working on, you will know what is or is not working WITH PROOF... When you KNOW what is working you can then scale up those methods, or stop wasting time on what isn't working.

If you do not track your numbers I'm afraid you will keep on just spinning your wheels forever and ever and ever.

im far from being a web genius but i manage to squeek out 100 to 150 a month on adsense just running off blogger with adsense. id like to make 500 myself but kinda stuck at the 150 point

At it's core, making money is simple. You:

1) Find a problem (the more urgent and pressing the better).

2) Find the solution.

3) Present yourself as the solution (the more superior and unique you present your solution, the better).

4) Present yourself as the only solution <-- This is a bit more advanced, and entails things you don't need to know right now, but the closer you get to this, the easier everything becomes.

So, my advice to you would be back to the basics. Don't worry about social media, the latest FB trend, SEO, niche sites or authority sites, which traffic source etc etc. No, instead, focus on 1,2 and 3 above. Determine these bare bone fundamentals first. Once you have, then you can focus on how you'll get yourself to the people that want what you have (you should already know that there are people that WILL buy what you have if you do your homework on the first 3 steps).

Please don't think there are a million things you need to figure out. You'll only be building up pointless self limitations and walls for yourself.

But you sound like you wanna take a short cut, you want to find the answer. So first... STOP SPENDING MONEY! You don't need to buy this WSO and that WSO for the answer. Yes, WSOs AID in making money but ultimately it goes a little something like this:

Set website up --> Get traffic --> Monetize

I know, that's Internet Marketing in layman's terms, BUT that is the basic principal.

Of course, setting your website up involves finding a niche you can work with and so on. But if you're looking to make money then I would go with something you have knowledge of. What do you like? Football? Candle Making? Growing Tomatoes? Watching Films? ANYTHING!

Just set a site up -- Setting a site up might not be something you can do in an instance, but there's literally hundreds of FREE tutorials over the web. I'd go with Wordpress.

Once you've got your site set up, you could work on ranking it in Google (again, no products to buy) just check out the SEO forum here and look around online for "Post Penguin SEO techniques". But don't limit yourself to Google, look at Facebook/Twitter/Google+/Pinterest and so on. Consider building a list and then running ad swaps to build that list up AND Get traffic. Try Youtube and Vimeo. Have a look at offline promotion methods to build up your traffic. If you were running a site about growing your own, then get some flyers printed and hand them out outside your local garden centre for example (tiny investment). LOTS OF WAYS YOU CAN GET TRAFFIC!

Oh and STOP BUYING JUNK TRAFFIC! If you can't monetize FREE traffic then don't PAY for it!!!

Now monetize it. I'm a HUGE fan of having my own products so I get 100% of the commission. But you can write reviews for products on Amazon as a starting place, Clickbank products if there's one suitable. IF you're in a particular niche with big brands in then promote their sales - Even consider putting coupons up for those brands.

There's so much potential.

BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY! Focus focus focus!

Stop throwing your money at products, try this and that because it's the next best thing. Set your site up, and start sending traffic to and don't STOP until you have a good 100 uniques a day, then work on monetizing it. And MONETIZE IT. Every visitor is potential money in your pocket. OK, not all 100 uniques will make you money, but you'd expect 1 a day to take action of some sort.

Perhaps you should not spend any more on learning IM from someone else and instead invest in something you may be more familiar with. Perhaps you have some skills or knowledge that you can use to make money.

An example would be:

You understand how to fix lawn equipment, so you go to garage sales and get equipment that you can repair, then re-sell them at a profit to local gardeners who are looking to save on equipment, via a website or Craigslist postings etc.

Try something along those line perhaps, just don't waste any more money. There is always a ton of stuff for sale but that doesn't mean you need or want any of it

The beauty of WF is you can get the info and the tools you need for FREE in most cases, as the real guru's give stuff away, knowing that to harvest the crops, you have to plant the seeds. Look around, you can find some good stuff on WF, that can help you and wont cost anything but elbow grease.

You are not alone. There are tens of thousands of people like you who have bought product after product and have nothing to show for it except a desktop full of products. What I found from consulting and mentoring many people in your same position is you are working with a consumer mindset instead of a business mindset.
