Short url redirect services that allow affiliate/clickbank?

If you got to 1&1 webhosting site... you can get a domain for like $3 ($2 or $3... one of em). You should invest in it. But... there's always TinyURL.

I used tinyurl several days ago and it still works for affiliate links. The ones I shortened anyway.

I'm going to move to a private service as soon as I get the time to change all my links.

I'd strongly advise you not to use unnecessary third-party url-shorteners/concealers, Jeffrey!

There are far better alternatives available.

Here are some threads you can read, which discuss/explain why, in some detail (recommended reading!) ...

(Especially stay away from "tinyurl": it's disappeared in the night before, as hundreds of Warriors can attest to, taking its links with it!)

Just invest a couples of dollars on a .info domain, a hosting account and create your own redirect for each product.

Never trust your links to a third party service, you can loose everything in a second.

I still use tinyurl sometimes.
Better to have enticing links
http tinyurl com /499in2Days
instead of
http tinyurl com /63cbGE34

As far as I know they still except clickbank links

If you already have an existing domain, you can just install YOURLS: Your Own URL Shortener on it.

I just have to chip in to agree with what other members have said. Buy a cheap domain. You can create as many 301 redirects as you want with domain.info/link1, domain.ino/link2, domain.info/link3 etc.

This way you're in complete control. Just because a service is free and allows affiliate urls now doesn't mean they'll always be that way in the future. Why take the risk for the sake of a few dollars?

If you own a domain name, you don't need anything more than cpanel or a simple index.html or index.php file to handle your redirects for you. That's what I have always done and do.

Although, I am hoping to find a method to provide myself with some tracking and analytics for these links, because usually I have none.

I did know of YOURLS, but I previously passed over it because I thought all it did was redirect. And since I already do that as described above, I didn't "need" it. Since Kevin linked to it, I decided to check it again. And I do see that it has some good tracking statistics built into it. I'll be giving it a trial for sure. Thanks Kevin!

With Wordpress (if you have that) you can go with the GoCodes plugin. I'm with the others; invest a dollar in a .info domain and test from there. Why trust a third party when it only costs A DOLLAR to have the insurance?

If you already own a domain, why spend money on another when it isn't necessary?

The only reason I can think a person would buy a domain for the purposes of url forwarding/shortening/cloaking is if the person doesn't have their own site. But then, if you're running affiliate offers without a site of your own, set up a site anyway! You don't need your own product in order to make having your own site a wise idea. Blogs and opt-tins are reasons enough to have your own site.

I've used tinyurl for a while and the links last indefinitely so that's pretty cool.

The only problem is that you don't have any tracking that comes with a paid service. But, if you want to save a few bucks and use a redirect service that works check out Tinyurl.
