A question about YouTube URLs

I want to point some links at my YouTube videos, but am wondering which URL variation i should be working on.

do i just copy the URL directly out of the address bar?
ie: ht.tp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=791Dr-VH-Zw

If i click on "edit" video in my YouTube account, it lists my stats on the right & my video URL in a shortened format
ie: ht.tp://youtu.be/791Dr-VH-Zw

Is there a specific URL i should be using when i build links?

Thanks

Mix it up. Make the majority of your links be of the video url and sprinkle some others with the shortened youtu.be ones

If you're thinking of things from an SEO perspective, you don't really need to do that with YouTube. In fact, in my experience, you can almost throw away the conventional backlinking "rule book" with YouTube videos. (Not the ".. almost ..." part, though. )

      Tommy.
