branded domain name

Hi all,

I have a domain name that contains a brand name

example WWFcomics.com

I produced the site with information around WWF and mistakenly used there logo in the title. They sent me a cybersquatt copyright infringement order demanding it take the site down. I have agreed and removed the site, they are now telling me I have to transfer the name to them.

They say I used brand in URL that is not allowed and I used the Logo ( fine )

Do i have to do this by Law ? or are they trying to pull a fast one.

    There are many threads within this forum that this has been talked about. As the previous post said use the search button. As we are not lawyers and are not able to give legal advice.

    Use google and do a search there on the topic of using brand names.

        Who contacted you about the trademark? World Wildlife Foundation? or the owners of the now extinct World Wrestling Federation? This isn't clear from your post. WWF... curious who is actually claiming ownership of the trademark... lol
