Where to get more Affiliates (silly question for IM Forum - I know)

by bwh1
14 replies
I would like to ask HOW to find more Affiliates for my product without to pay for Ads. I don't have problems with the After, I know how to treat them well.

It's not a product for the IM Niche, that's why I ask.

In most forums like here, affiliates are running behind IM related products as they think that those are easier to sell.

I'm not into PM spamming, that sucks, and in the Affiliate Database here I could only see IM related products around.

Any good ideas from you guys?

G.

Are you able to at least tell us the niche? Maybe there is already people in that niche that could help you out or at least recommend where to start. You statement is a little broad kind of like me posting asking for directions to get to Idaho when you have no idea where I live or how I am planning on getting there lol

Didn't know if I'm allowed to post.

Target group - Everybody who need to learn how to use the Quickbooks software.

There are several levels, from individuals over small business owners up to people which train others using our tutorials for teaching it.

Worldwide best selling Accounting Software, so a lot of people need to know how to use it.

We tried to see if our customers are interested into promoting the course, but they mostly don't understand what's affiliate marketing and think bad about it.

        Hi G =)

        Here's my 2 cents...

You get in touch with those that teach people how to be affiliates. Then you offer them a deal or a clickbank contact % for each affiliate they bring to you. Those that teach affiliate marketing have a very nice audience to mention a product their students might like to promote.

          Hi Jenny

          how are you doing?

That's a really good idea I never thought off.

Looks like easier then finding the Affiliates myself.

I guess I have to setup this in the JV section of Clickbank as I can't personalize the commissions.

Will give this a whirl and ask my partner what he thinks about the idea.

          Many thanks

      • Hi Bwh1,

You also need custom content for your network of sites and offsite publication networks and ezine channels and social networks, and you do pay for it, right? Here's something we've been doing for our corporate and non-corporate clients since 2005, in which we helped Paretologic's carrier product, RegCure, to become the world's best selling Windows System Registry cleaner software OF ALL TIME in 2007:

=>> We offered our content development services to them at a fixed per-word price and free 1-year or even life-long manual whitehat offsite marketing services. Make a wild guess how many corporate and non-corporate clients we managed to sign up with that offer. Now, for your concerns, here's what you can do:

STEP ONE: Buy content development services at a fixed per-word rate or even a part time or full time contract price prorated to your per-word rate...

STEP TWO: Tell interested content developers that, on top of paying them at a fixed price for their work, they need to sign up as your affiliates, especially those with accounting day jobs and backgrounds or have networks of people with interests and jobs related to accounting and other relevant industries (like business and finance, for instance), so they can earn commissions per sale and/or lead generated by the content they'll produce for your network of sites and offsite publication networks, since you'll include in their content their affiliate links (which point to your sales and/or squeeze pages). With this system:

        • You get unique content for your network of sites and offsite publication networks at reasonable prices. At no extra charge, you get affiliates who'll promote your business, brand name, content, products and service offers in their own social networks, their own blogs, their own sites and in various online places where they frequently hang out, to discuss things related to your business, brand name, products, content and service offers. On the other hand:

        • Your content developers/affiliates get paid for their content development work at a reasonable fixed rate. They neither have to wait for more projects from their existing clients, nor use their free time and other resources to source new clients, since they can use their free time and other resources to promote the content they will produce for you, which can earn them commissions per sale/lead generated by those content materials on your network of sites and offsite publication networks. And:

        • They won't be limited in their promotional campaigns, because they won't be promoting their affiliate links, but rather their non-affiliate links that point to the content materials they will produce for your network of sites and offsite publication networks, thereby widening the exposure of your business, brand name, products, content and service offers in relevant online places heavily trafficked by your prospects and target buyers, since those content materials have their affiliate links which in turn point to your sales and/or squeeze pages...

Let me see if I understood this correct (sounds like a great idea).

I go and offer to purchase UNIQUE CONTENT and a site (do you have some sites in mind to get niche specific content, guess it's not oDesk)

I then setup some deals with content writers in exchange to become affiliates.

          Right?

The only "problem" with this is that they maybe have no clue how to promote my product as an affiliate.

Off course I can teach them but it will take some time till I get some return I guess.

Off course I get unique and fresh content, so that's anyhow a valuable idea at the moment we have better to do then writing our own.

          Many thanks

Thanks. Think of it this way:

For instance, let's say you have one site, your main site. You need unique, top quality content to promote your upcoming products in your main site. You also need unique, top quality content for your offsite publication networks to widen the exposure of your site, brand name and products. You also need affiliates who'll promote your site, brand name and products in various online places that are frequently visited by your target customers. What can this arrangement do for you?

You get, at a fixed 1-time price: Unique content and affiliates who'll implement manual whitehat offsite marketing campaigns for you at no additional charge. To elaborate further:

            Content, yes. A site? Why?

You can check in the Warriours For hire section here or the WSO (Warrior Special Offer) section...

You hire writers or contract their project-based services, yes, to get unique content for your network of sites and offsite publication networks. You ask them to sign up as your affiliates, since their affiliate links (which point to your sales and/or squeeze pages) will be included in the content materials they'll write for you, once published, so they can promote those content materials and earn commissions per sale and/or lead (just like your other affiliates) generated by those content materials. You also point out that the advantage of this arrangement for them is that, since those content materials are in your network of sites and offsite publication channels, you'll also have marketing campaigns for those pages, and also inform them that you even have offline marketing campaigns lined up, and since you're selling office productivity tutorials and guides in digital format, most of your prospects and target buyers would most likely buy from online point-of-sale outlets (from your network of sites and offsite publication channels), since most people don't usually go to malls and offline shops to buy digital tutorials and electronic guides, so this means your offline marketing campaigns will promote your network of sites, which'll in turn improve the volume of viewers that'll go to those network of sites and most likely land on the content materials they'll write for you (with their affiliate links that point to your sales and/or squeeze pages).

That's why it's better to contract the services of a company with trained, supervised and experienced inhouse content researcher/writer employees who also have training and experience in implementing manual whitehat offsite marketing campaigns...

This is a hit-two-birds-with-one-stone thing. You get unique content for your network of sites and offsite publication networks at a fixed 1-time price. You get affiliates, who'll do long term promotions for your sites and offsite publication channels, particularly for the content materials they'll write and you'll publish on your network of sites and offsite publication networks with their affilaite links (which point to your sales and/or squeeze pages), so they can earn commissions for each sale and/or lead generated by each of those content materials...

      Thanks,

About Clickbank, how can I get their email inside CB?

I get from time to time an invitation to promote product X, and have not found out how they got my email from inside CB.

Super Affiliates - how I do know if they are?

One of the top sellers is the proper Software seller Intuit, guess they don't like what we do so have to look out for others.

I would be very glad to know WHO is selling a lot of Quickbooks Software as affiliate, that would be a killer for me.

We tried to contact website owners at page 1 for my keywords, not very much success. Maybe have to redo that again after Penguin mixed up the results.

If you are going to go with Clickbank, a good way to get more affiliates is to do this:

Right after someone buys your product, everywhere on the back office post your affiliate program there.

Allow your future customers to be able to make money from your affiliate product too. Even though you may feel that you only want them to use your product, it is perfectly OK to try to recruit them as affiliates.

Many are doing this same technique as I write this post.

We tried this but as we are in a non IM market, clients didn't appreciated it very much so we stopped to ask them to become an affiliate.

I've put a section into our members only forum to recruit them over a more soft-way.

I will have to recheck that process, maybe there are more possibilities with this then what we currently use.
