Pre-Launch Landing Page

Hey all,

I'm working on a website right now that will primarily focus on dropshipping pet supplies. After a few months of researching dropshippers and (finally) finding one that suits my needs, the site development is beginning. My partner and I just set up our Coming Soon page and I would love some opinions on it.

Is the CTA prominent enough? If you were looking for pet supplies, would you feel inclined to sign up for our email list?

Thanks in advance all!

Your blurb in the centre is good, but you've committed a cardinal sin of Internet Marketing.

My email address is PRECIOUS to me, if you want it, then you gotta offer me a really cool INCENTIVE.

Apart from that I do like the look and feel of your website.

    Good luck

Some suggestions: Offer a coupon that will be good when you launch. As mentioned, you should have some "tasty bait."

Pictures of dogs, or dogs with happy owners, or dogs enjoying one of your popular products, a dog with your logo, etc.

The copy seems "washed out" maybe bold it.

Tell people their email is safe with you.

I do like the background and the color scheme on the site. It will be hard to get email signups for notification. People are very cautious these days about giving out email address out. Hey..never say never. Your site logo looks great.

    Thanks for the input, Abul.

I completely agree with you. We've been trying to decide on how exactly to incentivize early adopters. I'm thinking something along the lines of a one time coupon code for 10 - 20% off, or something along those lines. Just enough to capture interest.

I like the look its very cool one thing is the text is very light and small and difficult to read on the white brick background (just my 2 cents)

I agree with Abul you need to offer something I have tried the give me your email and I will notify you when we are up and running and also the sign up for our newsletter here thing as well and neither were successful you gotta bribe people for that valuable email.

How about an Ebook that offers nutritional facts of common dog foods and cat foods with a title like do you know what is in your pet food? Brings curiousity for their precious pets

    Again just my 2 cents

I like the design and the page in general. The glaring items missing:

1 - Put something above the signup form to bring more attention to it.

2 - You need to give more incentive for signing up. Maybe a discount code, free product, etc. Make these benefits very obvious to the visitor.

3 - Maybe add some pet supply or animal graphics to fill the page up a bit more. I like the background alot but there is alot of empty space.

Bill, would the empty space turn you off from a sign up, if you had incentive to sign up?

We still need to add our social media buttons, which won't take up a lot of space, but will hopefully add a bit. I'm a sucker for minimalism, and it shines through here I suppose!

You won't be the one landing on the page.

We still need to add our social media buttons
If you want people to sign-up then you want the page "leak" free. When people land on a squeeze page they should only have two options. Subscribe or leave. "Visit us on FB" is a good way to lose a potential subscriber. You can send them to your page after they are on the list.

As for the social media, hadn't really thought of that. Thanks for the advice. And I realize I'm not the one landing on the page, which is why I asked if the empty space would be considered a turn off. I definitely believe personal taste in design shines through in things like this, which is why I value/need the opinions of others.

Just to be clear, I really like the design. Except for the placement of the optin form and no graphics that demonstrate what benefit I will receive from you.

Under your logo I would put a graphic like I mentioned earlier. It can be small and tasteful to augment your design. Above the optin box put your offer of a coupon and tell people to "enter your email right now" or other CTA. This will move the optin box down. Lower right will out pull upper right every time.

I always try to put myself in the eyes of potential subscribers. It is often hard for artists to do, I know.

Well, I just think that having some graphics in there makes it that much easier for the visitor to realize what kind of site you have, plus to me it's more aesthetically pleasing. And if you add the benefits as a graphic, those will 'pop' more allowing your visitor to immediately understand what they are getting by signing up. You make like more of a simplistic look, but your visitors might not.

Check out the email signup form over at Petsmart.com. It's pretty simple and isn't a 'squeeze page', but they have a small image of a couple sitting comfortably in their home with their pet and they are on their laptop. This type of image is something you would want to convey...comfort, easy ordering online, and dogs and fish

Of course, this is a matter of opinion. The only true way to know is to test.

Consensus seems to be more incentive for a sign-up, which I totally agree with. I think we'll go the route of a discount code and test the results.

I agree that a coupon would be a good idea. Also you could have something about tips to keeping your pet healthy newsletter, or some report related to the pet niche for the email.

I think it's good exactly. Simple and make me interested read over the page.
But just my own thought, the font color in "We're in the process of building Ru blah blah" is need a bit more contrast.

Nothing draws the eye quite as well as the human face.

    Pictures of dogs = good
Pictures of people hugging dogs = better
