Anyone Been Automatically Subscribed To A Thread?

Somehow today twice I got subscribed to 2 threads that I made comments on...

By the way, I did not subscribe to the thread, I just automatically started getting emails that I was subscribed when people started making comments on the threads.

Not sure how this happened?

  • Check your settings. Set it to no emails. That should fix the problem.

    • The problem is this. I have never had a problem before until just recently.

As soon as you posted a response to this thread, I was automatically emailed, and I never subscribed to this thread.

      Something is not right................

Anyone know why this is happening?

Steve, I (or we) may not know what exactly happened in your case. But just like what icoachu mentioned, you can fix that thing from your Settings option. With due respect, this is not a pressing issue to us, Internet Marketers, I believe so.

    • Hi Steve,

I generally find that I'm automatically subscribed to threads where I leave a comment. That's because I never think to check the box about email notification that's below the reply box.

Go below the reply box and check the thread subscription/notification type box (before you hit "send") and set it to "no email notification".

What if you forget? No worries...

You can simply go to your User CP area, click on "subscribed threads" and then click the checkbox at the top at the right hand side, which will check all the boxes of the threads on that page.

Then go to the bottom and select "no email notification" and then click Go.

This resets all threads on that page to No Email Notification. If you have lots of thread subscriptions, you'll need to repeat this for each page of thread lists, and you'll be rid of all the notifications!

      Hope this helps.

      Elisabeth

Step 1: Click on your User Control Panel

    Step 2: Click Edit Options

Step 3: Go to Default Thread Subscription Mode and select "Do Not Subscribe"
